It's that time again.
Flu Season.
I hate it. There is literally nothing I hate more than being sick. I hate being congested. I hate the aches and pains. I hate the fatigue, and most of all I hate that I am not myself.
When I'm not sick, I'm bright, vibrant and full of energy.
When I'm sick, I have enough hate in my heart to kick puppies.
When I'm not sick, I like people. I am a very social person.
When I'm sick, I hate the very thought of people and everything that they do.
If you start noticing a pattern here, it is that I am a totally different person when I am sick; as a matter of fact, I think most people are. But I love some soup when I am sick, I love Rally's cheeseburgers, I love that big warm blanket that fights off the chills. While there are some upsides to being sick, it isn't nearly as cute as in the medicine commercials. The coughs hurt, blowing my nose hurts, having aches and pains for no good reason hurts, congestion that causes a headache hurts. The list goes on and on but the point is that colds can't leave the body fast enough.
This flu season I'm asking, please for the sake of your classmates and roommates, don't be that guy that infects everyone with your nasty cold. Wash your hands, use tissues to blow your nose, drink tea and eat soup. Another tip is that you should sneeze into your elbow as if you were dabbing than into your hands. If you sneeze into your hands your hands get contaminated, when your hands get contaminated they touch things when they touch things, other people touch them and get infected with your cold. Don't be that guy that infects all the doorknobs on campus because you couldn't be bothered to sneeze into your elbow.
For those of you, that start to feel a cold coming on, grab yourself some airborne from your local pharmacy, trust me you'll thank yourself.
