High school to college to graduate schools, everyone everywhere is counting down the days until the end of another hard fought semester. If your anything like me you are so fed up with constantly being sick and tired. Sick in the sense of permanent coughing, allergies or general illnesses that continue to beat you down. It always feels as though throughout the school period that as soon as you get over something a week later you're sick with something else. Sick of always feeling run down, overwhelmed, and stressed out to the point of balding. As students being tired is just a part of who you are, sometimes it's out of your control, other times it's because you stayed up too late to do something fun or to watch Netflix because you know Netflix is life. Playing catch up with your non-existent sleep schedule is a fun game to lose every week. I like to think "tired" stands for (T)ime (I) (R)est (E)yes (D)aily which is true because I get some accidental sleep while doing normal tasks like sitting in class, showering, waiting in line for food. You know normal tasks that you're supposed to be awake for. Some advice though is to take every opportunity to catch up on sleep and be healthy though. Getting ahead of the game is one of the best ways to not get stuck in the slump of the sick and tired game. Take vitamins in the morning drink water instead of pop, be aware of what friend is sick and STAY AWAY FROM THEM. Essentially I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. There is hope though, a beautiful warm light at the end of the spring semester and her name is summer. A time where the weather is better and life is just a little bit slower. So if you are sick and tired have faith, have hope and have patience put your head down and push through these last couple weeks. Use your time wisely this summer to prepare yourself to jump back into the world of student life.
