I've stumbled onto something great. Two wonderful millennials, taking the world (literally) by storm with only a few dollars to their name. They are Damon Dominique and Joanna Franco, otherwise known as Damon and Jo.

About a year ago, I was looking at the many study abroad testimonials on YouTube and came across Damon and Jo's channel. Quickly their channel seemed to be something fresh and new to the YouTube word because of their fun-loving best friend personalities. The video I was watching was "10 Very Blunt Study Aboard Tips." It was very interesting because almost right way you good tell they seemed like season travelers. After watching that video it instantly made me click the next video and the next video until I had watched all of their videos posted on their channel. That same day I subscribed to them because they were motivational speakers even though they didn't know it. Damon and Jo encouraged the people who watch them to travel and not to settle for any excuse because if two broke 20 something best friends can do it, you can too. You just have to be willing to "Shut Up and Go."

Fast forward three years later from starting their YouTube channel, Damon and Jo, has become quite a success. Their YouTube is probably the best thing for someone who wants to travel around the world. They have many hacks and tips for when you are traveling, how to find the cheapest flights and teaching you how not to sound like a textbook when learning a language. Also, they speak more than one language fluently.Who wouldn't want to take notes from them? With almost 500,000 subscribers on YouTube, their very own travel blog, and traveling to amazing countries all over the world, I'd say they are living the life.

Most recently Damon and Jo partnered with MTV and Starbucks frappuccino all summer to bring awesome travel videos has they checked off cities on their summer wander list! Be sure to check it out they could be in a city near you!

I believe that everyone wants to travel and see what the world has to offer. Why would you want to stay in one place forever? Why not experience something new, fun, and exciting every day? Life is passing you by as you sit day to day at your nine to five job. So shut up and go travel now! Your Netflix and popcorn will still be there when you get back.

While you are traveling the world, be sure to check out Damon and Jo's YouTube channel and subscribe. I promise you won't regret it!

Whether you're commuting or dorming, your first year of college is a huge adjustment. The transition from living with parents to being on my own was an experience I couldn't have even imagined- both a good and a bad thing. Here's a personal archive of a few of the things I learned after going away for the first time.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.

1. You're tired of school food and have resorted to surviving off junk food and cereal.

2. Your financial aid/money is running out...and chances are it all went to textbooks and takeout.
