Shows You Need To Watch On Netflix

The shows you don't want to miss this Netflix season

Shows You Need To Watch On Netflix

It can be hard to find a good show to watch on Netflix. With more than 100 shows to chose from, how do you know which ones are worth watching and which ones aren't. Well, I'm here to tell you the top 5 shows you need to watch on Netflix.

1. Criminal Minds

First, the only reason you need to watch this show is because of Derek Morgan, (aka Chocolate Thunder) because.. well, look at him.

But there's also Dr. Spencer Reid...

And if these two aren't reason enough for you to start watching this show, then how about the fact that you get to watch these beautiful men hunt serial killers and shoot guns. (nothing is hotter than this, I promise you)

But seriously, this show is AMAZING. It's about an FBI team called the Behavior Analysis Unit. They travel all over the country to analyze serial killers and their behavior to create a profile and ultimately, catch them. (this show is super interesting if you love psychology!!!)

2. Pretty Little Liars

I can honestly say that this is the first TV show I ever watched on Netflix, and I don't regret it a bit. I've re-watched this show AT LEAST 5 times. If you love mystery, you need this show in your life. It has you hooked right from the start and you watch more eagerly trying to get more answers. What is the mystery you may ask? Well, I guess you'll have to watch it to find out. (and then re watch it to catch all the details you missed when you watched it the first time)

As a bonus, you have the wonderful Caleb, Ezra, Jason and Toby to gaze at while watching the show, which isn't half bad either

3. Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl is just one of those classic shows that everyone needs to watch. Although the show ended a few years ago, it is still a great one. Everyone needs to experience the love of Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf as well as Serena Van Der Woodsen's iconic style. The downside of watching this show is that you will forever dream of living on the Upper Eastside of New York and you'll have unrealistic expectations of love.

4. Bones

Bones is one of the best crime shows I've ever watched. It follows the life of a forensic anthropologist who solves murders by analyzing the victims bones. She works with a partner from the FBI names Booth, and together they solve crime in the D.C. area. This show is not talked about enough and deserves a lot more attention than it gets. I promise you won't regret watching this one, although, forewarning, it is a little bit graphic (in other words, decomposing bodies won't freak you out as much when you're done watching this show).

5.

Well, when making this list, I could easily pick out my top 4, but when it came down to number 5, I had six shows left to pick from, and I just couldn't choose one. They were all equal, and I couldn't put one above another. So, number 5 is a tie between American Horror Story, Castle, Vampire Diaries, Grey's Anatomy and Hawaii 5-0. These are ALL great shows and I couldn't bring myself to leave any of them out.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
