Ah yes, a new school year. So many exciting things are upon us! Such as reuniting with friends, starting new classes, and getting back into various clubs and organizations. However the beginning of school signifies something special to me, the official start of 'Binging Season' coined by yours truly.
Now some of us may have been fortunate enough to start the season early over the summer. However, you're never truly binging a show unless you do so while putting off other responsibilities. As a certified 'Hoe for Netflix©', I can let you in on the greatest shows you may have already binged, may have just dabbled in, or straight up have never heard of.
Without further to do, here is your guide to procrastinating your fall semester away.
Bobs Burgers
Starting off with one of my personal favorites, this is an easy and fun show to keep up with. With episodes ranging at about 23 minutes long, you can breeze through this series on a long weekend. This show is certainly going to keep you laughing all through its marvelous 5 seasons!
Criminal Minds
What I feel is a typical show that everyone has watched at one time or another, I definitely suggest sitting down and binging this series through. OF course I've caught endless episodes during marathons on A&E, however watching the series in order gives such a greater experience. Watching them in spurts on TV, and out of order, it's easy to miss how much character development goes on throughout the series. Plus Spencer Reid is a total babe!
Young & Hungry
This a show that I feel hasn't gotten much recognition and is actually pretty great. It features Emily Osment (Formally Lilly Truscott) as an inspiring chef working for a young hot shot, and along his assistant and housekeeper. Again, the show features those 23 minute episodes, keeping things light and fun but also allow for real relationships to grow between the characters!
Arrow
I am a huge advocate for all things Superhero, and out of all of the shows I have superhero watched this has got to be one of my favorites. Arrow follows playboy millionaire Oliver Queen as he seeks vengeance on those who have wronged his city. The series can get pretty dark, and I suggest pairing it with The Flash (Also a fabulous show) because they often overlap and appear in one another's episodes! This show is super addictive, with an awesome cast and an always changing story line!
Once Upon A Time
Now if you're someone who loves fantasy and mystery, ABC's hit show is for you. Once Upon A Time centers around a young woman as she uncovers the truth about the fairy tales we have all grown up reading. The show is incredibly fast-paced and you'll find yourself watching the first season in a matter of days! Lucky for us season 5 just got put on Netflix!
Parks and Recreation
One of my all time favorite shows, Parks & Rec is an absolute must see. The quick episodes make it easy to breeze through all 7 of its magical seasons. The series is an Office-style environment with double the humor and heart. It's hard not to fall in love with these characters and in love with Pawnee. A must-see for anyone who likes to laugh, or wants to feel happiness.
Scandal
Obviously this list wouldn't be complete without a show from Queen Shonda, and it was extremely hard to choose a favorite. But alas, Scandal won out. This show has turns that you can't see coming, starring the perfect Kerry Washington as DC Fixer, Olivia Pope. If you have a problem, or an issue that you don't want to see hit headlines, Pope & Associates have you covered. The drama and brilliance of the characters make this a nail-biting binger.
All these shows and their seasons can be found on Netflix, Happy Binging!!
