7 Shows And Movies Everyone Watches Except Me

All I ever hear about is GoT and "Endgame" — except I don't watch either of them.

I feel left out, but also don't have the energy to start watching them now, so I just continue to wallow in my despair when I can't join in a conversation.

"Game of Thrones"

Giphy

I've never been a person who likes medieval times or fantasy genre, so I was never attracted to this show. Now literally everyone watches it, and I'm stuck hearing spoilers for a show I don't watch.

"The Walking Dead"

Giphy

Again, not a huge fan of this genre. I like scary movies, but this show just never appealed to me. Everyone watched "The Walking Dead" when I was in high school, and I'd nod along like I TOTALLY knew what they were talking about. PSA: I didn't.

"The Avengers"

Giphy

I don't know the difference between Marvel and whatever other comic companies there are, and honestly I don't care. I watched Spider-Man once when I was little, and that's the extent to which I know anything in the realm of this genre.

"The Office"

Giphy

Honestly, I think this show is stupid. *Mic drop.*I really don't think it's funny at all, and I'm not a huge fan of it. Everyone I tell that to thinks I'm crazy, so I don't even bother talking about it anymore. But "The Office" didn't win me over.

"Breaking Bad"

Giphy

I get where this show could be good, but I've never taken the time to sit down and watch it. I might at some point in the future, but I'm still so behind in this trend that I don't even know if it's worth it. The plot is intriguing, though. Who knew your chemistry teacher could make meth?

"Stranger Things"

Giphy

I watched two episodes of this show and got bored. Maybe if I would've watched it longer, I would've liked it. Who knows. But for the time being, it wasn't my favorite. Next!

"Star Wars"

Giphy

I watched one Star Wars movie and really thought I was going to fall asleep by the end of it. It was SO long, and I was SO confused the entire time. I didn't know what was happening (granted, I don't think I started with the first one), but I wasn't a fan. I know it's one of the best series of all time, and I could see why, it just wasn't one of my favorites.

Call me crazy, but I'm not a huge TV person. What are some shows that you watch that no one else does, or that everyone watches but you don't?

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
