Christmas Break is here and free time is of abundance. Now you will have those get-togethers with your relatives like Cousin Eddie and Aunt Pam that will go swimmingly and the nights with your friends that you will enjoy, but what about all the free time in between? That's where you can binge watch shows on any streaming device, and enjoy laying back and just being lazy for a while, because you're awesome and you've earned it. Now let me tell you which six shows you should definitely binge watch this break, and get used to and where to find them. Let us begin.

6. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

Where to find it: Netflix

Set a full 10 years after the finale of the show, this hit returned a few weeks ago to the delight of many, and for you girls out there, it is worth a look if you watched the original show. 4 episodes and you get to go back to Stars Hollow, what could be better?

5. Timeless

Where to find it: NBC App, Hulu, YouTube.

Timeless is a brand new hit on NBC that follows three unlikely heroes as they travel throughout time to stop a criminal from altering the events of history in the world for his gain. They must be careful to not alter the timeline of events themselves in this thriller. If you enjoy history, this is right up your alley, and with it being only 10 episodes into its run, now is the perfect time to catch up before it resumes in January.

4. Gotham

Where to find it: Netflix, Hulu.

There are a plethora of superhero shows on television now with Arrow, The Flash, and Netflix originals such as Daredevil and Luke Cage. Why Gotham? Because it sets in the origins of the city and the childhood of one of the most popular superheros in the world, Bruce Wayne's Batman. Follow Bruce, Detective Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and more in the fast paced action drama that will give you goosebumps more than once. The development of stories for legendary Batman villains such as The Penguin, The Riddler, Mr. Freeze, and Professor Hugo Strange make this a must see. The first 2 seasons are already on Netlfix, and the first half of season 3 is on Hulu. Also, a Joke or two may be teased as well.

3. The Night Manager

Where to find it: Amazon Video, Itunes

The most obscure of the six shows, The Night Manager sure has star power with Hugh Laurie (House M.D) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki in various Marvel Movies) and is a six part mini-series from AMC (formerly from England). It follows Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston) a Night Manager at a Hotel (What a concept) being persuaded by British officials to attempt to take down a kingpin in an undercover arms trade in Richard Roper (Laurie). It has received critical acclaim from all over the globe, and is a show that you would love to quickly binge and take the roller coaster ride that is The Night Manager.

2. The Office (United States)

Where to find it: Netflix

Why binge this? Because you can never have too much of "The Office". If you haven't started, there are nine seasons, so gear up for laughs galore, and plenty of enjoyable hours from a star-studded cast.

1. Stranger Things

Where to find it: Netflix

This Netflix original set in the 1980's is a show that you think is going in a certain direction most of the time. Subsequently, that direction you think it is going in, is the farthest thing where it was actually going. Follow a group of young boys as their friend Will Byers gets lost in an alternate realm, unbeknownst to them, and their quest to find him along with Will's family, the local rogue police chief Jim Hopper, Eleven, a girl with interesting powers of the mind, and countless other incredible characters. It is a sci-fi drama mixed with many things that are cherished from the 1980's. It has that big show feel to it, and you'll be hooked from the beginning. 8 episodes is what you have to work with before Season 2 is released next summer, but this is the #1 I would recommend to binge over Christmas Break.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
