Why 'How I Met Your Mother' Is Your Next Binge Show
Silly Punter

In this day and age, almost everyone will at some point binge watch tv shows. There is one show that stands out and I will watch over and over again: How I Met Your Mother. Regardless of your streaming service of choice, here are eight reasons you should give it a try:

1. We can all relate with the characters

Each character goes through their own trials and tribulations. The different situations are similar to what we would experience. Anyone can find a character in this show that they identify with. You fall in love with the characters and when they experience their hard times you can't help but feel sorry for them.

2. We can find comfort in dealing with real life situations

The show deals with the tough situations in life that everybody hates. The show bounces between death, job loss, and a variety of other real life issues.

3. The Inside jokes are terrific

There are a number of inside jokes, like I am sure you have with your friends. You get to understand them because the way the stories are told you are essentially one of them.

4. There is always something to high five about

Especially when you can go from one season right to the next, and don't have to wait for it to air on TV.

5. The content of the show is cleaner than most television shows today

The show does attract teenagers to young adults, but the producers are clever in finding ways to cover up.

6. You can learn some life lessons

Some of the lessons that are expressed and learned are reached through extreme examples or stories, but it helps get the point across.

7. You get to learn from the modern day Romeo and Juliet, the one and only Lilly and Marshal

Lily and Marshal are together from the beginning. They exemplify real life issues married couples have to handle, and you see how both of them love each other more and more every day.

8. In our generation, no show makes us more thankful for our friends

These five are the best of friends. They support each other in everything that happens. We see how they all go through different things but their friends are always there no matter what. This shows that our friends are always there for us and it makes us more and more thankful for them every day.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
