A Shout Out To All The Best Friends

Growing up, we all realize that friends come and go. The friends you have in elementary school may not be the friends you keep throughout life. It's hard to come across a best friend—you have to do some serious searching. A best friend never judges you for your decisions and is there for you when a lot of those decisions blow up in your face. They will always tell you that your outfits are on point and make you feel like a million bucks even on your worst days. A best friend is someone who may be hard to find, but is always worth it in the end. Whether they are new in your life, or someone who has been there all along, here’s a shout-out to those friends who you can’t imagine life without.

1. When You Mess Up

When you make a bad decision, your best friend is always there to pick you up. They never judge you and are always around to listen to your rambling and be the best shoulder to cry on.

2. You Can Be Weird Together

Some friends may laugh at you when you tell a dumb joke or make stupid faces, but a best friend is always there to laugh at your jokes and distort their face to match yours. You probably have 50 pictures of each other in hilarious poses, but that's OK, because you laugh every time you look at them and that's all that matters.

3. You Share The Same Emotions

A best friend always knows what's going on in your life, and they are tuned in to your feelings. They cry with you over a bad date and jump up and down with you when you ace a test. They are always by your side through thick and thin, and you cannot explain how much their support means to you.

4. Being Apart Is Terrible

Being away from your best friend for a long time is like being in a long-distance relationship. You probably text or call each other every day and fill them in on what’s happening in your life. You’re always prepared to whip out your phone and text them as soon as something crazy happens, and their response is always fantastic. There is nothing that beats seeing them for the first time after a long time apart.

5. You Have Some Weird Inside Jokes

You probably call each other something other than your names and have crazy inside jokes and stories that no one else understands, but you don't care because you still laugh at them. You've mastered communicating through grunts and facial expressions and you wouldn't have it any other way

6. You Don't Have to Do Anything When You Hang Out to Have Fun.

You can sit together for hours at a time either on your phone or computer and not even talk to enjoy hanging out. It is quality bonding time, especially when you find something funny on the internet to laugh about with them.

7. Their Opinion Matters Most

You don’t really care what anyone else thinks because your best friend always tells it like it is. They aren’t afraid to correct you when you're wrong and they give you the best solutions to fix problems. It may seems a little harsh at times, but they only want the best for you.

8. They Are Always There to Back Up Your Fights

You probably hate all the same people. When someone wrongs your best friend, they wrong you too, and you cannot stand it. When you fight with someone, your best friend is always there to back you up like your personal cheerleader. You feel much better when they are there to support you for every situation.

9. You're Always Excited to See Each Other

Whether it’s been an hour or a month, you are always excited to see each other. Seeing your best friend’s face lightens your entire day and you can't help but be more than ecstatic.

10. You May or May Not Have the Same Wardrobe

You have so many things that belong to your best friend you can’t remember what's yours. You borrow things from them frequently enough that you cannot remember if that shirt is yours or theirs because you probably bought it with them anyway.

11. You Can Never Stay Mad After Fights

Let’s face is, your entire world is out of whack when you fight with your best friend. But the good thing is, no matter how mad you are at them it only takes a couple of hours for one of you to crack a joke, laugh, and finally apologize. Fights with your bestie never last long, because you don’t know what to do without them.

College students, you might be able to relate to this one. These probably sound familiar because we often tell ourselves these phrases; however, we are unable to follow or agree with these the following, deep down inside of our overwhelmed, tired minds.

1. "No more spending money on useless things"

Until you walk into a 99 cents store and suddenly have the urge to pick up anything that's less than a dollar.
