Shout Out To My Girl Gang
Olivia Smith

After years of trial play dates, friendships fading, and misfortunate placement with the wrong crowd, I have finally found my people. The perfect girl gang. The ultimate balance of beauty, brains, and golden hearts. The type of people who I know will be by my side always, through good and bad, through shining moments and failures, I know they have got my back.

My closest girlfriends, I believe, are the type of people you don't find every day. They are few and far between, and I feel extremely blessed to have ended up with a group of friends who are as close, or if not closer to me than my family. Of course, I have to give them a shout out.

You guys, hey, I just wanted to first and foremost say thank you. Thank you for being the most badass group of women to walk this planet. You are not only hard working and some of the toughest people I know, but you also have that soft spot that you know I so dearly love.

Thank you for being brutally honest with me when I need it most, and also being the most comforting shoulder to cry on when I feel like nothing will get better. (It always does). Thank you for the endless arm rubs and back massages when I'm feeling stressed out, and the nights we stay up forever just talking about life.

You guys are the reason I fall in love with life every day. Thank you for the endless supply of clothing, because when we go shopping, it's "for all of us." Thank you for laughing at my jokes when no one else will, because no one understands our humor. Seriously, I think I might pop a rib one day laughing at our stupid jokes.

Along with that, thank you for being spontaneous with me and going on adventures, doing things that people will look at us and say we are crazy for, but I don't care because I have you. Thank you for the countless dance parties in my kitchen, in public, and anywhere we see necessary. I can honestly say no one breaks it down like we do.

Thank you for listening to me, understanding me, respecting me, and loving me. There is so much more I could thank you for, but these are some of my favorites.

You guys are the most beautiful people I have ever met, inside and out, and I wouldn't trade your friendship for the world. If I ever need someone, I don't fret because I know at the touch of a button I can hear your voice. No matter how much distance, or how many obstacles we may face, I know we we will make it out in the end. Now on a less serious note, whose house are we staying at this weekend?

I LOVE YOU,

Liv

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

Because we made it, and because high school seniors deserve to know what they're getting themselves into

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
