Why You Should Rewatch Disney Movies As An Adult
Time

One of the greatest joys of childhood is watching Disney movies. We all grew up on the Disney classics. There might have been a period of time where you went for a few years without watching these movies (teenage years), but you can never really grow out of these movies. They are entertaining not only to children but also to adults. No wonder our parents loved watching these movies with us! Here are a few reasons why you should watch the Disney classics again when you are older.

1. You can understand the true meanings of the morals.

As a child, you mainly watch movies for the entertainment. Sure, you might pick up a few life lessons from them, but as an adult, you can really get a better idea of the message that movies try to convey.

2. They will make you feel things.

Disney movies will always bring out your emotional side.

3. There are a lot of clever jokes.

You can't pick up on all the jokes and subliminal messages that these movies have when you're a child. But, it all makes sense as an adult.

4. You'll feel nostalgic for your childhood.

You'll remember the good old days as a child and being so happy to watch these movies. These are the movies you grew up with, and they'll always have a place in your heart.

5. You can fully appreciate the art.

Disney movies are not only entertaining, they are beautiful. As an adult, you can fully appreciate all the work that went in to creating the classic masterpieces that you love.

6. You'll sing along to the soundtracks.

Some of our favorite songs come from Disney soundtracks. You'll be surprised how many of the words you remember!

7. You will pick up details you may have missed as a child.

When you watched the movies as a child, it was more to be entertained than to pay close attention. It's easier to take a closer look when you're grown up. You'll notice some key things that will make you laugh and some things that will make you cry.

8. Most of them have talking animals.

Who doesn't love talking animals?

9. They will make you happy!

Some of my greatest memories as a child are watching Disney movies! Whether it's the witty comedy or the great memories that make you smile, happiness is guaranteed when watching these movies.

10. It's a great way to pass the time.

If you're really bored, sit down and watch some old Disney movies! Many of them are on Netflix, and if you're really feeling nostalgic, head down to a local DVD renting store!

11. They are truly great movies.

Disney movies are some of the best. If you want to watch a really good film but aren't sure what to watch, just think of some of your favorite Disney movies!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
