If you are a girlfriend, you probably know what it feels like to despise all game systems ever created. Theyāre the second ā if not first ā love to almost all guys and whatās worse than your boyfriend paying more attention to zombies than you, right? I completely understand.
But what if you joined the game? AHA!
Of course, at this point, youāre probably confused and thinking āI donāt even like video games,ā but you will never understand their thrill of stupidity until you step into their shoes.
Instead of standing in front of the television with your arms folded, patiently waiting for him to turn the system off, ask him for the joystick. Heāll probably question you as a joke or tell you, "youāre going to ruin my online rep.ā But stand firm in your decision: play the game.
In my experience, I ended up playing NBA Basketball 2k18 and before I knew it I was screaming at the TV saying āAND ONE!ā while my boyfriend watched me impatiently. As a guy, he constantly wanted to partake and quote on quote āhelp me,ā but ladies we canāt have that.
Three words, āIāve got this.ā
Long story short, I was playing video games for five hours without even realizing it! It was like a burst of energy soared through my body during those moments and I was never even a little bit tired.
I had finally stepped into his shoes and felt the adrenaline of staying up all night, yelling at my television and actually winning video games.
I would like to compare it to doing drugs. Although, I am not a junky like most guys have become.
Iām not sure exactly how they last so long because I eventually realized I had class the next morning and real life was still happening, but for a split second I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
All in all, girlfriends letās take the shoe off their foot and put it on ours. You may fall in love with video games or you may still never figure it out, but it never hurts to try! You never know, you could actually end up developing a stronger bond in your relationship, just by nagging less and joining the nonsense.
But guys, this is still not an excuse to ignore her. I repeat, not an excuse.
