If you are a girlfriend, you probably know what it feels like to despise all game systems ever created. Theyā€™re the second ā€“ if not first ā€“ love to almost all guys and whatā€™s worse than your boyfriend paying more attention to zombies than you, right? I completely understand.

But what if you joined the game? AHA!

Of course, at this point, youā€™re probably confused and thinking ā€œI donā€™t even like video games,ā€ but you will never understand their thrill of stupidity until you step into their shoes.

Instead of standing in front of the television with your arms folded, patiently waiting for him to turn the system off, ask him for the joystick. Heā€™ll probably question you as a joke or tell you, "youā€™re going to ruin my online rep.ā€ But stand firm in your decision: play the game.

In my experience, I ended up playing NBA Basketball 2k18 and before I knew it I was screaming at the TV saying ā€œAND ONE!ā€ while my boyfriend watched me impatiently. As a guy, he constantly wanted to partake and quote on quote ā€œhelp me,ā€ but ladies we canā€™t have that.

Three words, ā€œIā€™ve got this.ā€

Long story short, I was playing video games for five hours without even realizing it! It was like a burst of energy soared through my body during those moments and I was never even a little bit tired.

I had finally stepped into his shoes and felt the adrenaline of staying up all night, yelling at my television and actually winning video games.

I would like to compare it to doing drugs. Although, I am not a junky like most guys have become.

Iā€™m not sure exactly how they last so long because I eventually realized I had class the next morning and real life was still happening, but for a split second I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

All in all, girlfriends letā€™s take the shoe off their foot and put it on ours. You may fall in love with video games or you may still never figure it out, but it never hurts to try! You never know, you could actually end up developing a stronger bond in your relationship, just by nagging less and joining the nonsense.

But guys, this is still not an excuse to ignore her. I repeat, not an excuse.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:
