Why We Should Never Try To Make Society Perfect

In todays society, too many events are happening to cause distress.

Here's the deal. Nobody or anything is perfect. Society will never be perfect. The government will never be perfect. Individuals will never be perfect. Stop thinking things need to change because of you and your opinion on certain matters.

You might be thinking right now 'Don't we have the freedom of speech?'
Yes you do. It is part of the four basic freedoms. RAPPS.
Freedom of religion.
Freedom of assembly.
Freedom of the press.
Freedom to petition.
Freedom of speech.
However, all of these rights have their own individual limitations.

This, however, does not mean that you have the right to riot. You may protest peacefully. If a protest turns into a riot and you become part of it, guess what, you are held responsible. What good is it going to do to cause more trouble in society than to help prevent it? How are violent actions the answer to the problem? This is only going to cause more distress. So please, keep it peaceful or keep it to yourself.

Race has become another, and one of the main issues in society. No race is better than the other. Here in The United States, we are what is referred to in history as a tossed salad. We have a mixture of races, ethnicities, and religions. There is the issue right now on the topic of illegal immigrants. Some people are taking this the wrong way and saying that anyone who is an immigrant should leave this country. This is wrong. Anyone who is illegally here should, because our country offers for them to be legal and they should take advantage of it. Yes it is a long process, but if they truly wanted to be a member of this country, they would have done it the right way.

Another topic is gay marriage. If you want to be married to a person you love, you should have the right to do so. However, if a priest/preacher/whomever is to carry on the wedding, is not comfortable with performing a same sex marriage, they should not be punished for doing so. It is there right on whether or not they wish to so. There are plenty of other people, I am sure, that would be willing to perform such a task.

I am going to leave you with this thought right here.
Watch movies, such as the Divergent series. People are placed into factions based on a standardized test. This test tells them what they are to do with their lives. Eventually the leader controls all of them.
Nobody wants to be controlled for their entire life. We can not try to create a perfect society based on a single individuals want/disagreement. If it hasn't harmed you or caused a serious distress in your life, than let things be. To create a perfect society would harm the human prestige. We would end up in another civil caused by an excuse that in reality, when you think about it, is not very large, and would cause more harm than good.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
