Recently Fitbits have become extremely popular with athletes and non-athletes alike. At first I was skeptical about the whole trend but then a close friend of mine convinced me to get one and I am so happy I did. I learned that Fitbits keep track of so much more than just the amount of steps you take in a day. So if you are interested in purchasing a Fitbit here are a few features to consider that come with Fitbits and the Fitbit app you download on your phone to keep a log of pretty much everything you do.
.) Track your sleep. Your Fitbit will keep track of when you sleep, how long you sleep, and the quality of sleep you get.
.) Log in how much water you drank or how many calories you ate during the day.
.) Use your Fitbit to set silent alarms in the morning. Your Fitbit will vibrate on your wrist
.) Add friends on the Fitbit app and complete challenges with them. This feature always makes me want to get up and get as many steps in my day as I can.
.) Earn badges along the way. When you get different amounts of steps, you will receive badges for how many lifetime miles you have completed, if you won a challenge or if you have crushed your step goal.
.) Your Fitbit will be able to track any cardio exercise you have done for the day and will tell you how many calories you have burned during the day.
.) Some Fitbits can act as watches and even display incoming text messages or calls you receive on the screen.
