8 Reasons You Should Love A Guy With A Dad Bod
Inside Hook

The "Dad Bod" is male appearance phenomenon sweeping the nation that usually comes into effect when a guy's teenage metabolism has worn off and, well... Life happens. I think there is a lot to be said about a guy who rocks dad bod. It's not so much about his physical appearance, but instead about what's on the inside. There is just more to love, and here's why...

1. It shows that he lives a balanced life.

He gets to the gym when he can, he enjoys having a couple beers with the boys, and he probably spends a lot of time behind a desk working or studying.

2. It's what's on the inside that counts.

Guys with dad bods have mastered this age old saying, they know that confidence doesn't come from physical appearance. It comes from the inside. He takes pride in his unique personality. This also means that he cares about who you truly are, inside and out.

3. What you see is what you get.

This could go multiple ways... but girls, I know you love to plan for the future. Fast forward 20 years, you know exactly what he will look like when he's coaching your kid's little league team.

4. Dad bods are the best for cuddling.

They are your own personal pillow and will be there to keep you warm in the winter. They are soft shoulder to cry on, so let it all out, he can handle being there for you on an emotional level.

5. He has his priorities straight.

Being wrapped up in your body image can be so time-consuming and he gets this. There are far more important things in life than focusing on how you look or what others think of you, like work, school, family, relationships, and good food.

6. He's probably a mama's boy.

Just trust me on this one and always remember the way he treats his mother is the way he's going to treat you.

7. He probably has a great personality.

Guys with dad bods have a unique charm, they usually have a life of the party personality. They're confident, and good with words. But not confident to the point where it's intimidating, they're comfortable in their own skin and want you to feel the same.

8. He has realistic expectations.

Nobody looks like the model on the front of Cosmo or GQ, he get's it. He is going to want you to be comfortable in your own skin and is going to love you for being you. This means he's going to love you for what is on the inside. He thinks about the big picture, rock hard abs won't get you very far in life but a great people skills will, he gets this.

Dad bods have proven to be more than just a trend, they have far surpassed that. The trend started out as a way to glorify frat boy's beer bellies but it has turned into something so much more than that. Dad Bods have changed the way youth, college students to be specific, view body image. So, yes dad bods are a great thing, our society is filled with unrealistic perceptions of body image, but dad bods bring us back to reality, what you see is what you get.

Side note!!! Why hasn't the "Mom Bod" caught on yet? It needs to. Get with the program people...double standards have no place in our society, let's get #mombods trending.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
