The interplay between the darkness of the night and artificial light sources is what inspired me for this series of night portraits. The contrast between these two concepts is so dramatic and bold, I wanted to accompanied it with the expressiveness of portrait photography. I shot these photos at night and use neon lights to illuminate my subjects' faces. Although this was challenging because of the lack of light, it resulted in excellent tones of red and blue from the neon sign, accompanied by dark, dramatic shadows. The neon light created a soft glow that appeared in almost every shot. This glow of the neon sign, the darkness, and the subject all work together to encapsulate the viewer.

AI-generated music is often marketed as “artistic” or “educational.” But what does it really teach?

I have listened to several AI-generated music covers. My initial reaction was one of considerable impressiveness, particularly regarding the reimagining of classic pop hits in diverse genres with novel arrangements. Here is one good example a-ha — Take On Me
However, after engaging with several such Ai generated song covers, a sense of emotional detachment emerged, attributable to the perceived absence of human artistry and genuine sentiment, resulting in a technically flawless yet ultimately soulless auditory experience.
