Hey. I love you. All of you.
I know we haven't been friends for very long,—a few months at most—but I love you.
Yes, I keep saying the "L-word," love. It seems like a big word, and sometimes, it is, but there's nothing to freak out about here. This is a love that is hopefully mutual and completely platonic. It is full of admiration, respect, trust, humor, passion, and honesty.
I want to thank you for all that you do for me. From the short remarks and jokes to the hour-long conversations. The spontaneous fast-food stops and dining hall lunches, to the dinner and coffee dates that we plan a week in advance. Movie nights and shopping mall excursions to laughing at memes in the green room. While I'm at it, I might as well thank you in advance for the summer nights and road trips and comfortable quiet afternoons. My heart swells thinking about the endless possibilities during the next four years of our lives.
Now, I'm not naive. I know that not all of these relationships will blossom into life-long friendships. Some of these moments are temporary and will never be repeated. That's totally okay, because that's how life works, but I know that some of will. And that makes me so excited for the future.
So, no matter what happens, I respect you, I appreciate you, I trust you, and, of course, I love you.
Thank you, for everything.
