As Sionn Achflonn

Yes, I do think these actors deserves as much credit and Oscars as much if not more than Leonardo Dicaprio.

So here are my picks for my most underrated actors of all time.

And I’ll do under rated actresses sometime very very soon.

First off:

Michael B. Jordan

Michael B. Jordan is one of the only actors to ever put me on the verge of tears through his performances. Yet, he has such an energy and such a great personality to him, while also having so much heart and passion to his performances. And the fact that he didn’t get an Oscar nomination for Fruitvale Station or Creed. He’s just such a realistic actor that you can’t not love.

Watch: Creed and Fruitvale Station

Sam Rockwell

Okay, this guy is awesome. Sam Rockwell has the greatest amount of energy I have seen in any actors that everytime he comes on screen I can’t help but pay attention to him. He brings such a great charisma and energy to every character he brings and he’s just such a lovable presence. Even in bad movies he is always the standout.

Watch: The Way Way Back, Moon, and Seven Psychopaths

Miles Teller

Ok, there’s no doubt that he starred in crap before. But damn, has he gotten better. He brings such realism and emotion to his characters, and for an actor his age that’s pretty impressive. I usually never see Miles Teller acting I just see the character because he is always able to go that limit with a character, he is always able to fool you with his performances saying oh I’m going to go this way, no I’m not, I’m going that way. Which again for an actor his age is pretty impressive. Does he have a perfect track record? No. But the films he’s good in, he’s phenomenal.

Watch: Whiplash, The Spectacular Now, and Bleed for This

Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal I think is the most underrated actor ever. The fact that this man has only gotten one just one Oscar nomination is a sin against humanity. People complained that Dicaprio hasn’t gotten an Oscar for a long while in his career? I complain that Gyllenhaal barely gets any recognition. The best actors are those who can transform themselves into their characters so that I don’t see the actor. That is Jake Gyllenhaal, sometimes when watching his movies, I completely forget it’s him. The man is a chameleon. He has done so much for a role and he has yet to let me down to this day.

Watch: Pretty much every single movie he’s done.

Casey Affleck

Yup, the younger, better brother of Ben Affleck.

But Casey is just an actor that is just so raw with his performances. He picks roles that are simple but he brings his all in to them. He never seems fake, he never seems like he is trying so hard. Whenever you see him act in a movie you just can’t help but appreciate him because you know he is dedicated to his craft and you just want to watch more of his movies. There’s talk around that Casey Affleck is going to win the Oscar this year for Manchester by the Sea, and if he does I will literally jump for joy because he is definitely in my top 3 most underrated actors.

Watch: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Gone Baby Gone

Chiwetel Ejiofor

Just watch every single one of his movies and tell me he’s not a good actor… Just do it… I’m not even going to go in to detail about this just watch his movies

Best performance: 12 Years A Slave

Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling at this point has done everything. I am jealous of the man. I am jealous of his talent, I am jealous of his energy, I am jealous of his handsomeness, I just. It’s Ryan Gosling. The man knows how to entertain his audience and he knows how corrupted Hollywood has become. He always makes every movie better.

Watch: Blue Valentine and Half Nelson

Joseph Gordon Levitt

Again, Joseph Gordon Levitt just knows how to transform in to a character to a point where I don’t see Joseph Gordon Levitt. He always has such a charming and cool presence on screen and also he knows how to bring such emotion and depth in to his characters. Even with something like The Night Before, a raunchy Seth Rogen comedy, he manages to make us feel for his character when he’s feeling down and you want him to succeed. The dude knows what he’s doing and he knows that Hollywood is pretty much bullshit now.

Watch: 50/50 and Hesher

Bryan Cranston

He's Walter White.... Should I say more.?

Watch: Breaking Bad and Trumbo

So that’s all I have for now. Don’t worry there are plenty of others that I missed and I’ll make a part 2 someday but that’s all I can think of. Happy Halloween everyone.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
