8 Promises To My (Almost) Little

Big/little reveal is just around the corner, but I already have promises to you.

8 Promises To My (Almost) Little

Finally, I will be a big. I have waited for this moment for what feels like so long and it has now become my time. My little has yet to find out who I am, but I cannot wait until the day we get to run into each other's arms. I am ready to cry because I have been blessed and I cannot wait to make memories with her and fulfill my untold promises to her.

I promise to...

1. Be there for you at the highs and the lows.

I will be there on the sidelines cheering you on. I will be a shoulder to cry on. I will be just a phone call away to beat up any boy who breaks your heart or anyone who upsets you. I love you already and want to be there at your best and your worst.

2. Be honest.

I will always be honest with you. Honesty is a trait that I cherish in a relationship. I know that if I am honest, you can trust me and I can trust you. I will tell you when I am happy, sad, mad or any other emotion.

3. Continuously spoil you.

You want a burger from McDonald's but don't have enough money? I'll spot you. You want to watch Netflix instead of go out on the town? You better be prepared to sleepover. Whatever you want, you got it, because it is your time to enjoy being a little. Even after you get a little of your own one day, I will spoil you.

4. Get as weird as you want.

However weird, crazy or ratchet you would like to be, whether in the middle of the party or in the privacy of my house, I will be right next to you being just as bad. Never feel scared or ashamed to be weird because I'm willing to be even weirder.

5. Always be the first to forgive.

We are bound to get into arguments. No matter who started it, who is to blame or who should apologize first, I will forgive first. I am the big sister and I know that is my responsibility to keep our relationship together. You are precious and I would never sacrifice our relationship because of my pride.

6. Be a teacher.

I will teach you all you need to know about our sorority. I will tell you how to stay away from the creepy boys or how to attract the cute ones. I will help you with any classes you are struggling in. But, I will also learn from you.

7. Brag that you are my little.

I am completely in love with you already and we have so many more memories to make and secrets to share. I am so proud to be your big sister. You are precious and sweet. From the first time we met I knew you would make someone a happy big and I was blessed to find out that that big is me. I will always brag about you being my little.

8. Be the best big I can for you.

I want to be there for you 100 percent. I want you to be proud that I am your big. I will do everything I can to make your college experience a great one. I will come back for your 21st birthday, I will be there on your graduation day and I will be there when you receive a little and become the best big.

Little, know that I love you to the moon and back.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
