The year 2000 introduced the world to a new actor that would one day revolutionize what we know today as art. This man is Shia LaBeouf. Every one knows this guy as the lovable character on the show Even Stevens, Louis Stevens. Since then his acting career has spanned numerous movies.
Within recent years the actor has dipped his foot in the art world. His first art installation was a four day movie marathon. A movie theatre in New York City ran every movie the actor was ever in starting from the most recent to the oldest. The artist sat in the theatre and watched every movie through the four day period. People were allowed to come and go as they please. There was also a live stream of the actor in the theatre watching the movies. This was the first time the actor really delved deep into the artistic community.
Shia LaBeouf's newest art installation is a form of protest to the new president of the United States. Outside the Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, New York, LaBeouf has set up a camera that will be live streaming for the next four years while Donald Trump is in office. People are welcome to come to the spot, stand in front of the camera, and chant "He will not divide us." in front of the camera for the world to watch.
The live stream began January 20th as Trump was being inaugurated into office. He got the help of Jaden Smith to help get the project in motion. People have been standing in front of the camera since then chanting "He will not divide us." If you have a need to ever let your anger out at the Reality Star turned PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES then go down to the museum and chant with the crowd of people in front of the camera.
This participatory art installation from the crazy mind of the ex-disney star may be his most ambitions stunt since the time he stood in an elevator for 24 hours straight. You can watch the live stream here. Maybe if your lucky you'll catch this hero yelling at someone who doesn't understand the protest.
