Sherlock

A show that will turn you into a version of Sherlock Holmes himself.

I could watch shows like "The Office" or "Parks and Recreation" 100 times over and still find myself at the same location come the final episode. Sure, I may find myself understanding new levels of humor placed around each episode, but the conclusion and understanding of those TV shows is always the same. Though it does not make shows like those any less entertaining, I constantly find myself falling deeper and deeper into the trap of one particular show.

"Sherlock," presented by BBC and starring Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch, has to be one of my all time favorite shows. Seriously, I have watched those few 10 episodes over the whole course of three series (seasons) multiple times and it never fails to amaze me. In fact, I have even watched the whole show starting from the last episode and working my way back to episode 1. It's a show like this that keeps me hooked for weeks, even after I've finished watching.

Each time I watch the same episode, I get more and more out of it. I notice more and more, such as elephants falling from tables that I hadn't noticed before or Sherlock making tea while on a case. Though those two examples I just used may seem completely insignificant, when watching the series, those fine details suddenly become the keys, the most important parts to the show.

Sherlock challenges the viewer's observational skills just like Sherlock Holmes himself and I can't help but be totally enveloped in this show. There is so much more to see than just the classic crime show facade. It's absolutely incredible television and you need to watch it. If you've already watched the show on Netflix or elsewhere, you could probably agree that it's a pretty good show, but watch it again, you'll discover more than you could ever imagine. Everything is possible, any theory could line up, the smallest detail could completely change the way you view the show, and then you'll have to watch it again.

I just can't help but brag about this show that has shown such character diversity, arc development and attention to detail that I cannot believe I have watched the same show over 10 times.

Each time it morphs into something new. For every theory there is a fan group dedicated to it. It's impossible not to get lost in the maze that the writers and creators have sculpted. It'll have you wondering "What did they intend for me to see?" "What did they want me to observe?" "Is anything a possibility for my imagination to create or will this all make sense soon?" It sometimes takes me hours over the hour and a half running time of each episode for me to research something I previously missed. It's incredible how meticulously this show is planned and I can't help but be enamored with it.

This show will make you think harder and dig deeper than any other show I know of. It will make you laugh and it will make you cry. And you are welcome to deduce anything you'd like. Project any view onto it, and it could work. Solve a crime before Sherlock, figure out the heart of John Watson, defeat Jim Moriarty, the game is on if you let it begin.

I guess what I'm telling you is that you need to watch BBC Sherlock because it is absolutely one of the best television shows I have ever watched to date. I can assure you, you won't regret it. (and then please talk to me about it when you're finished)

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
