1. "Your hair is the boss level."

—Said after finally, making a sock bun with the girl who has the thickest and bumpiest hair the world has ever seen. (That girl is me)

2. "I DON'T HAVE TIME TO BE STUNG!"

— She said, allergic to bees and already swelling up, refusing to leave.

3. "Cardio time."

It's the bane of our existence.

4. "If you don't smile I'll stab you."

— Said in the middle of the show.

5. "Why are they so much better than us?"

"Genetics."

"Yeah that makes sense."

Us trying to console our talent-less selves.

6. "Haha remember when we all had a nervous breakdown and I had a panic attack and she threw up and she almost had a seizure."

— Said about our unhealthy coping mechanisms.

7. "Guys check out this bruise I got."

— Said when the bruise is the size and color of a rotten grapefruit.

8. "I swear to God if we have to run this again I'll kill myself."

— Says literally everyone.

9. "You better practice or else."

"Or else what?"

"I'll cry."

The captain cries a lot.

10. "You can't we have practice."

— Said every time someone wants to do something fun.

11. "We have to look like drag queens."

— Said regarding our makeup.

12. "BREATHE."

— Said when we're literally panting during the show.

13. "Band camp!"

"UGGGGGGGGGGH."

A truth

"WHERE'S MY GLOVES AND SABRE?!"

— Everyone again, an inside joke.

15. "What if you whipped so hard you dislocated your shoulder."

They then proceeded to try for an hour.

16. "You should get injured, you'll get so much tea."

Our coach gossips to literally anyone close to her.

17. "I wonder what it's like to have a free Friday night."

Friday night football games suck.

18. "Make that macarena sexy as hell."

Something that should not be said.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated.
