Everyone has seen the cheesy romantic comedy where there is love at first sight, or the guy was in love with the girl all along because he knew they were soulmates. In the real world; however, love is not that simple. Finding someone to enter into a relationship with can be difficult, and finding "the one" seems to take a lot of time and patience. Here are some signs that maybe you have met the one.

1. They put up with you on your worst days

Having someone love you when you are at your lowest is an incredible thing. It shows that even when you are on the brink of losing yourself this person still sees you for who you are, and wants to help you put the pieces of yourself back together again. You care for one another.

2. They are your best friend

Simply put, this person should be your best friend. They should want to make you happy and love on you and you should want to do the same in return. They will probably be the first person you think of when wanting to make plans or chat about your day. The anchor that keeps you grounded.

3. How simply talking to them can make your whole day better

There is nothing better than hearing "I love you" on one of your bad days. Its incredible how talking to one person can simply change your whole mood. They allow you to complain, cry or be angry and in the end they offer support, guidance and love. What could be better than that?

4. When something good or bad happens they are the first person you talk to

They are the first person to congratulate you, or say that they are sorry. First person to suggest to celebrate or ask if you want to do something to cheer you up. They always have your back 24/7. They are there to support you, love you, and respect you.

5. You can share a comfortable silence

Sometimes you don't even need words to know that you care for one another. All it takes sometimes is a quiet night drive, some good music and the person sitting shot gun holding your hand to know that this is love. Being able to be together and not have to fill the space with talking is an incredibly beautiful thing. Its being totally comfortable with one another.

6. They tell you that they love you without words

You don't need to hear the words to know that you are loved, you can see it in their actions. Whether its bringing you a coffee because they know you are tired and still have lots to do, or buying you a favorite snack from Meijer because they thought of you when they saw it. Its the little things that they do to make sure you know that you are loved.

7. You just know

When it comes down to it, you just know. You can feel it in the deepest parts of your soul that this person is your person. There is this truly deep, scary yet wonderful connection that you share with this person that you often can't really put into words. You don't need a million signs to prove it because your heart already knows and its not changing its mind anytime soon.

8 Things I Realized After My First Semester In College

Actually, Kylie Jenner, 2018 is the year of realizing things.

The first semester of college is famous for being one of the most difficult transitions of one's young adult life. You're thrown into a completely new area where the majority of the people surrounding you are strangers in an academic environment that's much more challenging then what you've grown accustomed to for the past twelve years. On top of that, you probably share a room with another person (or even multiple people) on the lumpiest "mattress" you've ever slept on.

With this change comes a lot of questions: what do I want to major in? What am I passionate about? Is what I'm passionate about something I'm actually good at? Why does the bathroom smell like cranberry juice and vodka? What is that thing at the bottom of the shower drain?

6 Unrealistic Expectations Society Has For Young Adults

Don't let the thesaurus-inspired vocabularies in our résumés fool you. We're actually just big kids.

Well over four feet tall and 100 pounds in weight, many of us "young adults" of the world still consider ourselves children. Big, working, college-attending, beer-drinking children. We may live on our own, know how to cook noodles, and occasionally use a planner, but don't be fooled; the youthful tendencies that reside within us still make their way into our daily lives. From choosing to stay up until 3:00 a.m. playing video games on a school night to going out in 30 degree weather without a coat, we still make decisions that our parents and grandparents would shake their heads at in disappointment. So why are we expected to know exactly how to be a wise, professional, sensible adult? It's not that we're irresponsible (for the most part, anyway). It's that we are young, inexperienced, and still have the sought-after, enthusiastic mentality that we can do and be whatever we want, which has not yet been tarnished by the reality of the world. These are just a few of the unrealistic expectations that society has for young adults.
