In the south, going Greek is just part of college life. Here are seven signs you're in Greek life!
1. You own more T-Shirts than any other piece of clothing.
Seriously. It's like you can never pass up an opportunity at snagging a new T-shirt. Comfort colors become your best friend and Nike shorts/leggings and T-shirts become your uniform. Whether it's a grub shirt, formal shirt, Simply Southern shirt or a fraternity's social shirt, you will probably be wearing a (Greek) T-shirt 99 percent of the time.
2. Nothing gets you more excited than a "Tacky Tourist" social or semi-formal.
Want a good laugh? Take a look at a Greek's closet. Greeks live to dress up. Whether it's getting all dressed up for semi or bringing out the camouflage, a Greek's closet is pretty entertaining and full of costumes and nice dresses.
3. You probably spend more time on the Row than anywhere else.
Sorority Row and Fraternity Row are your home away from home. Whether you're hanging out at the house, attending a frat party, or recruiting, you feel totally at home on the Row.
4. Your Big/Little is your life
It's a relationship almost too unique to describe. Your Big is your mentor, your inspiration, and probably your best friend. Your Little is everything you want and need in a friend. You want to instill in her the life lessons and love your Big gave you.
5. You live for events like "Watermelon Bust," "Greek Week," "Homecoming Week."
A little friendly competition never killed anybody! Greek events are so fun! You not only get to do crazy things such as getting on stage and singing and dancing your heart out with your sorority sisters and fraternity brothers, you get to see all the Greeks in your community.
6. You know just about anyone and everyone on campus — Greek or otherwise.
Greek life introduces you to all kinds of people. You all have a common connection: being Greek. Greeks have non-Greek friends, and they hang around and eventually end up knowing like three-fourths of the campus and you have no idea how that happened.
7. You can't imagine a better way to spend the best four (or five) years of your life.
Greek life has consumed you and you wouldn't change a thing about it. You have fallen in love with Greek life and have found a home away from home.
