Living in Texas is easy for Mexican food lovers because around every corner is a new restaurant. The range of choices ranges from Pappasitos, a large chain, to Los Tios, a small restaurant in Houston that many people won't know.

Now for many people that statement may have had no effect, but for Mexican-food lovers (like myself), it meant everything. Whether it is Tex-Mex (a Texas favorite) or homestyle Mexican cuisine, we are up for it all. Whether it is a birthday or just a normal summer day, I will ask people to go to Casa Ole, my favorite restaurant, practically every meal. It is completely normal.

Here are seven signs you are addicted to Mexican food.

1. You will always ask your friends to go to a Mexican restaurant. Whether you are dressed to the nines or sporting your workout clothes, the request for meals will always be for a Mexican restaurant.

2. When your friends decide to go elsewhere, your immediate reaction is one of pain. Not always physical pain (although this can happen), but your heart will slowly drop and you will realize that you will not be completely satisfied for the day. Don't worry, you can always go get it tomorrow.

3. You are willing to sit in an establishment alone. As a teenager, I know the fear that comes along with eating alone, but if you are truly addicted, this never becomes a problem. When your friends won't go with you, it is always an option to go alone.

4. You visit the same Mexican restaurant at least once a week. This is one of the more dedicated signs. If you have a favorite Mexican food restaurant, you attend at least once a week. Bonus points if they know you by name or know your order.

5. You constantly walk around too full. Mexican food is one of the most filling foods there is to eat. If you are always feeling full, chances are you are always eating Mexican food.

6. Wherever you eat, you always order Mexican food. Whether you are at a sit down restaurant, or a fast food place, you will always find loopholes for Mexican food. Most of the items you order have the words: taco, enchilada, cheese, or beans included in it.

7. Your sanity is questioned by your friends. Do not be alarmed if you hear the words, "You want Mexican food AGAIN?" This is normal. They just don't understand you.

So whether one of these applies to you, or all of these apply to you, there is a strong chance that you are addicted (or just love) Mexican food. There is nothing wrong with that, and do not worry, you are not alone.
