Relationships can be a beautiful thing, just like rainbows are. Being in love makes everything around you shine even in the darkest of times. But behind the beauty, there are ups and downs. There are different parts of the relationships just like there are different shades of a rainbow. Both good and bad, there are a lot of feelings and emotions.

So here are the seven colors of the rainbow define in a relationship.

1. Red

Red may be the color of love but it can also be the feeling of anger and passion. Red with anger, fluster face as fire spits out from each other mouths arguing and battling about little things for hours. Only one can come on top. Then after fighting the passion is back and the love is sparked up again.

2. Orange

You know that saying: your boyfriend should be your best friend is 100% true. Someone to laugh with, joke around with, and just be a complete goofball with. The color orange stands for playfulness so every day should be filled with gut-busting, out of breath, endless laughter.

3. Yellow

Yellow with happiness. Just being able to be with the one you love and just feel complete bliss. Whatever it is being in each other arms, kissing, or just being in the same room together brings smiles. Everything just feels so right being together. The darkest days just got brighter.

4. Green

Ok, we all have been guilty of being a tiny bit jealous. The green-eyed monster will show up a few times. We all have insecurities, and we get these ideas that our partner will leave us to find something better. Green with envy even though we know they love us, we still have this feeling that they are looking at someone else.

5. Blue

Tears will be shed. Sometimes they will be happy tears, crying over a gift they get you for the holidays or maybe the first "I love you". There will be sad tears as well, could be because of a fright or when emotions run high. Blue with emotions, overflowing sometimes we just got to let it out.

6. Indigo

The feeling of just utter calmness and peace you feel when around your love. That is what the color indigo stands for. No fears, and No worries. It seems like all anxieties all melt away.

7. Violet

The color violet, the color of a sweet love. Endless love for your love as no matter what happens and what the situation is, the love continues to grow.

Like a rainbow, love can be bright. It may dull from time to time, but it never fades completely.

When it comes to Bloomington-Normal, there are many outstanding factors that any Illinois State student can say are unique to our college town (and maybe others too). Proud or not, we Redbirds know all the ins and outs of Blono.

1. The wait for Buffalo Wild Wings is always going to be long on Thursday nights.

As hard as we try, it's nearly impossible to resist the 69-cent wings on a college student budget. Plus, they are always delicious!
