Seven Questions That Need To Be Answered After The Gilmore Girls Revival

Here's to hoping that the writers and Netflix realize they can't just leave fans with that cliffhanger.

With the new season of Gilmore Girls coming just over a week ago, we've all had time to reflect on it. There were laughs, tears, returns of great characters, but most importantly there was a massive cliffhanger at the end. Though many people believe that this new season was most certainly going to be it for the show, now with it ending in such a way I think a lot of people have unanswered questions that they want resolved. And though we finally got to see Amy Sherman-Palladino's 'Final Four Words,' there has already been a lot of fan outrage over ending it like that and there is a chance that there will be a lot of support for additional episodes. With that in mind, here are a few important things that would need to be addressed if Netflix made anymore episodes.

1. Who is the father of Rory's baby?

Unless the revival didn't show everything going on in Rory's life, the two main options are Logan or the Wookie she has a one night stand with. Since the encounter with a Wookie happened in the Spring, and it's unlikely that Rory is 6 months pregnant at the end of the series, the most likely father would be Logan. The only possible (unlikely) options left would be that there was some sort of secret encounter between Jess and Rory, or Rory has become a mother though Paris's surrogacy clinic, either to have a baby for her mother, Michel, or herself (perhaps she realized her biological clock was ticking). But the Logan one seems most likely, as this would tie in perfectly to the show being a full circle, with Rory being Lorelai and Logan acting as Christopher.

2. Will Rory tell the father or raise the child on her own, like Lorelai?

Lorelai's main reason for raising Rory on her own was a desire to get away from her family and start a new life on her own terms. Rory isn't exactly in the same situation, but at the same time the most likely father is engaged to someone else so there is a lot of reason for her to not want to tell Logan. She also has more of the means to raise a baby independently versus Lorelai as well. Her talk with Christopher in the Fall episode will most likely have a big impact on her decision, as she questioned him a lot on his motivation to not really try to be a major part of Rory's life when she was growing up. It makes sense to get her father's opinion because the comparisons are obvious and I think she needs to know whether or not Logan will either fight for his kid or even want to be involved at all.

3. If the baby is Logan's and he finds out about it will he want to be a part of its life, or even want to marry Rory and be a father?

The comparisons are obvious between Christopher and Logan, but one massive difference is the ages of when they have their kids. With Chris being 16 and Logan being 32 they obviously have different levels of independence, with Logan having his life much more together. For that reason I highly doubt that Logan will not want to have a part in his child's life if Rory decides to tell him. The question is how much involvement will Logan want. It's obvious that Logan still has feelings for Rory, so perhaps this means that he will break off his engagement and want to be with her. But he is also a part of the Huntzberger legacy now, so it is possible he won't want to go against his family's wishes and won't be able to be with Rory in the way that they might want. It is even possible that his family will interfere and desire to keep the two apart, as they tried in past seasons.

4. Will Rory stay in Stars Hollow to raise the baby or move away?

Rory always dreamed of moving away from her small town and having the opportunity to travel, which she did get on a certain level in the ten years after leaving school. I think she will want the support that comes with living in Stars Hollow and be surrounded by all of the people that care about her. Perhaps if the success of her book allows her to travel or requires her to move, then she will get back to it then

5. Would Jess be like Luke and step up to help raise the baby, or will he run away like he's done in the past?

The old Jess was known for cutting and running without explanation, but as we saw over the original series that Jess really evolved and matured. Often it was his fondness for Rory that made him want to be a better man and grow up, and with that longing look shown at the end it is clear that Jess has still been pining after her these ten past years. And if this show is going to come full circle, then Jess will mimic Luke's longing and desire to act as a father figure for the woman he loves.

6. Will Rory's book be a success?

Since it's based on their lives and a show that is already highly successful, it is pretty clear that it will do well and it was a great idea on Jess's part to suggest. Jess has always been known to give Rory's life some direction and this idea was what she needed.

7. After Rory's book becomes a success, will Doyle write the screenplay for the inevitable movie to follow?

Though this was probably not a part of the original plan when makin Doyle into a screenwriter this could potentially bring a lot of humor to the story and mean a lot of inclusion for Paris and Doyle in a new season.

I loved to see all of the new characters come back, but I hope that if they do bring the show back for another season I do hope it just focuses on a main storyline and loses the frills and music numbers (even though those were very fun and cool to watch) of the revival. Either way, I know there are a lot of upset and confused fans clamoring for more so I just hope that the show creators listen and continue the show. Since I've already rewatched the show and revival many times, I know you can never get too much Gilmore Girls so I will be patiently waiting for more episodes.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
