Seven 'Old Fashioned' Dating Gestures That All Men Should Never Let Go Out Of Style

In today's world we all get caught up in our phones and forget to be classy when dating. With online dating sites such as Tinder were we can "swipe up" we forget how to formally date someone. Formally dating is not going to dinner then going back to your place on the first date. Here are six gestures that all men need to remember. I am a total sucker for a southern gentleman. Ladies if he does these..... keep him!!

1. Walking Up To Her Front Door And Knocking

Getting out of your car and knocking on the door can be a bit scary. However, trust me she appreciates the gesture. Taking a few seconds to show you care enough to greet her at the door means a lot. Men, it's classy and attractive. Don't just text "here," go the extra mile.

2. Open The Car Door And Any Door For Her

This gesture has faded away with the other romantic gestures. It is the chivalry in this action that is so attractive. When I started dating this guy, one of the first things I noticed was how he never allowed me to open my car door. I can't put into words how much it means. Chivalry is not dead.

3. Not Kissing On The First Date

First dates are meant for testing the waters and finding out who the person is your sitting across from. There's nothing wrong with taking it slow. If it was a good date it may take some self-control but it will be worth it. It shows her you respect her. Instead of kissing her dance with her, sweep her off her feet, charm her with corny pick-up lines.

4. Meet Her Dad And Greet Him With A Firm Handshake

If she is a daddy's girl in the smallest way, she is going to want you to meet her dad. She prays for his approval but knows he has the final say. She searches for his acceptance of you. When you meet him don't mess it up. Give her dad a firm shake followed by a "yes sir" and calling him Mr. When my dad met any of my boyfriends I always watched him shake my father's hand praying he looked him in the eye with a firm shake. Her dad is the key to her heart.

5. Surprise Her With Flowers

Okay for real who doesn't like flowers. They light up the room and put you in a cheerful mood. Flowers are such a simple romantic gesture. For me, flowers seem like a compliment and every time you see them you get a smirk on your face. There is something about flowers that just make women feel good and beautiful inside and out.

6. Holding Hands

When did reaching for her butt instead of her hand become a thing? It needs to stop. If you want to date her hold her hand and her heart and don't grab her behind. Hold her hand on strolls through the park. Do that cute thumb thing that every girl loves. Make her feel safe and wanted when she has her hands laced with yours.

7. Love Letters

Love letters are promises sealed in envelopes and wrapped in cute ribbon. They are a constant reminder of his love. There is something about his handwriting and words scribbled on paper that seems magical but real. When the love fades but doesn't die a love letter can ignite a spark that started it all. A love letter is a personal promise written in his sweet handwriting.

Since I was a little girl the idea of prince charming danced in my head. As I grew older prince charming had character traits in my head and class was always one of them. Being a gentlemen to a girl is every dads dream and not always on every girls list. Ladies when did this happen you deserve a true gentleman. There is no reason it can't be like the movies when you date a guy. The relationship may not be perfect but chivalry isn't dead. I wasn't alive for old fashion dating but I believe you can always turn something old into something new. Its 2018 but being old fashioned is timeless.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
