Growing up, I watched Disney Channel all the time! I enjoyed the variety of both live action and animated content. As most people think of Disney movies to be all about Princesses or Singing, not many appreciate the live action movies! When making this list, it was difficult to choose all of the best movies. I also strayed away from the common choices ("The Lizzie McGuire Movie", "Cheetah Girls", "High School Musical", etc.). In no particular order, here are some MUST SEES:

1. Max Keeble's Big Move

Reasons you should watch it:

- It's a funny film about a boy named Max who is starting his first year in middle school. His dad decides that they are going to move somewhere else. Max does all of these crazy antics, knowing he won't get punished because he is moving away, but it all backfires.
- It has Josh Peck in it before he grew up to be a big Nickelodeon/Vine star

- Noel Fisher, the actor who plays the bully, "Troy McGinty"...

...also plays "Mickey Milkovich" on "Shameless"

- It also has "Eddie" from "That's So Raven" (y'know...before he gave Raven that Mmmbop)

2. Sky High

Reasons you should watch it:
-It’s a cute story about superheroes and super villains in a high school format
-It features actors such as Kurt Russell, Danielle Panabaker, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
-The jokes are hilarious

-"Layla" and "Warren Peace" (his name was applaudable)

-I don't think I put enough emphasis on Warren because...

HE

IS

HOT (no pun intended)

-A sequel is supposedly in development which is very exciting!

3. Life-Size

Reasons you should watch it:
-Tyra Banks as a real life Barbie? That’s pretty cool!
-Lindsay Lohan had been in many unforgettable Disney movies: "Freaky Friday", "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen", "Herbie Fully Loaded", "Get a Clue", and, of course, "The Parent Trap". Might as well call her the Queen of Disney.

-The moments when we remember Tyra's character, "Eve", has the mind of a doll

-THIS PIECE OF NEWS:

4. Stuck in the Suburbs

Reasons you should watch it:
-Um, it's a movie about what would happen if you accidentally swapped phones with your celebrity crush! So much goes on in this movie! Blackmailing is one of the things.
-So many stars are in this: Danielle Panabaker (who is also in "Sky High" and "Read It and Weep"), Brenda Song ("Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior" and "Suite Life of Zack and Cody"), and Taran Killam before he was in "SNL"

Okay, maybe this film isn't really underrated, but it's still a good movie!

5. Smart House

Reasons you should watch it:
-This movie was directed by LeVar Burton from "Reading Rainbow"
-It is about a boy who wins a computerized home with a cyber housekeeper programed by his widowed father’s new girlfriend. All things go wrong and the boy gets jealous, reprogramming the house and turning her into a controlling cyberwoman!
-The features in this house are pretty cool! I mean you got music videos playing right on your walls!

6. Read It and Weep

Reasons you should watch it:
-You get to see what would happen if your secret journal were accidentally published into a book, how embarrassing!
-No, really, this is a great movie. The cast consists of Kay and Danielle Panabaker, Jason Dolley ("Cory in the House), and Allison Scagliotti
-The concept is well done

7. Tower of Terror

Reasons you should watch it:
-Do you like the Tower of Terror ride? Then you're going to love this movie! It basically tells the backstory of what happened on the night lightning struck the Hollywood Tower Hotel.

There are other movies I feel like should be placed on this list. If there are any movies that I missed that you believe should have been on the list, leave a comment because I, too, would enjoy hearing about what you like to watch!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
