Over the years, I have experimented and expanded my makeup collection. My interest in makeup started at a young age from going through my mom's makeup to purchasing lip smackers. Once I got to middle school, I started to invest in drugstore mascaras. At that time, mascara was the only thing I wore on my face. While my day to day makeup routine includes more products now, I have accumulated a list of some of my favorite mascaras throughout the years. The list goes up to my favorites.
Covergirl Lash Blast Fusion Mascara Is A Good Start.
This was the first mascara I had ever purchased. It has a traditional brush and is a good mascara to try if you are just getting started. The brush is easy to maneuver and provides volume and length. Additionally, the color is not too overwhelming if you're looking for a more natural look. However, the formula does not hold well over the day, so if you looking to wear the mascara for a while, this may not be the best choice.
Follow This Up With Clinique High Impact Mascara.
I like this mascara because it is buildable. On some days, I could go for a more natural look but add some drama for a night out. The mascara holds well throughout the day and is easy to remove. The only downside is this is a little bit clumpy. So, if you are looking for a more natural look, this may not be it. Personally, I do not mind a little bit of clump in exchange for volume; if you're in the same boat, consider this mascara.
L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara Is Worth A Try.
I love this formula and brush. The mascara is easy to apply and coats each lash well. I find that if too many coats are used, the lashes feel a bit heavy, but it does provide a more dramatic look. The formula holds relatively well throughout the day but can sometimes flake if applied without a primer. Regardless, this is one of the more affordable mascaras on the list, so it may be worth your while.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Is Popular.
This is one of the more popular mascaras, but also one of the more expensive ones on the list. I love the brush; it is very unique. The hourglass-shape of the brush allows every lash to be coated. I like to use one end of the brush starting at the ends of my lashes and work my way in. The one downside of this mascara is it is a little clumpy, but it does provide volume as promised.
Maybe It's Maybelline The Falsies Mascara.
I absolutely adore this mascara. It is one of the first ones I repurchased, and I am considering picking it up again. It is affordable and does deliver that false-lash look. If you are looking for a more natural look, steer clear of this one, but if you want some drama, consider picking it up. The reason I have not picked up this mascara in a while is because I do not like the way the formula smells, but it does get the job done and is easy to remove.
Benefit Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara Is A Keep.
This mascara was one of my regulars for quite some time. It really does provide an amazing curl and lasts all day. The brush is easy to use; the dome-shape lifts your lashes. Also, the formula dries quick, which is perfect if you choose to apply multiple coats and is helpful in avoiding smudges. What drove me away from this mascara is it can be difficult to remove the product. However, I think the removal process is not a horrible as it could be, and this mascara is worth a try.
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara Is Worth The Splurge.
This mascara is my new holy grail, as I love the brush and formula. It is very easy to use, and the formula is very buildable and lightweight. The color is not too overwhelming, so if you want a more natural look, you can achieve that with this mascara. If you are looking to add a little bit of drama, feel free to add as many coats as you like. I do find it provides more length than volume, so keep that in mind. Although, it does go well with a bit of primer and an eyelash curler.
