Seven Makeup Products I Use Regularly

These are truly my holy grail makeup products.

Seven Makeup Products I Use Regularly

I have been obsessed with makeup ever since I was a little girl. There were several times I would go into my mom's makeup bag and play around with whatever she had. Now that I've grown up, I don't have to rely on my mom's makeup as much. For the past couple of years, I've spent so much time (and money) on finding makeup products that I will continue to use for years to come. Here are seven makeup products I love using on a regular basis.

1. Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup

I was never one to use foundation every single day. For one thing, I've been trying to treat my acne for almost five years now. Most foundations I have used in the past have only made my acne even worse. Secondly, whenever I put foundation on, it never gave me a light coverage. I always felt as if my skin was heavier whenever I had it on. Earlier this year, my mom suggested using Clinique products for almost anything (skincare and makeup). So when I saw that they had a foundation for acne-prone skin, I decided to give it a shot. It's honestly one of the greatest purchases I've made. It's extremely light-weight and doesn't cause my acne to flare up.

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer

I didn't get into the eyebrow filling trend until two months ago. However, I honestly had no clue on what to use. There were a few things that didn't do anything. Meanwhile, there were others that made my eyebrows way too thick. For the past year, I noticed a lot of people giving Anastasia Beverly Hills good reviews when it came to their eyebrow pencils. I've only used their brow definer for a month now, and I can say that it's one of the best eyebrow pencils out there. The triangular shape gives more precision, making it easier to fill my brows the way I want them to be.

3. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Since the moment I started using makeup, I always had a problem with how my eyeshadow would smudge off during the day. I tried every drugstore eyeshadow primer there was, and none of them seemed to work. People across the internet were talking about how Urban Decay has one of the greatest eyeshadow primers in the market. Sadly at the time, I couldn't spend $20 on one tube of eyeshadow primer. Now fast-forward to the present, I found them at a Nordstrom Rack for five dollars (#blessed). I decided to buy to see if it was really worth all hype. It definitely was worth it. I don't have to worry about how my makeup looks at the end of the day. My eye makeup will still look the same even if I sweating all day.

4. Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Quad (in Sage)

I was never able to find eyeshadows that went well with my skin tone. I also was never able to find eyeshadows that would be useful for an all natural eye look. At first, I was a bit skeptical about using this particular eyeshadow palette because of the green and gray. They were two colors I never really used before, so I had no clue how it would look on my skin. But once I tried it on, I fell in love with how it looked. Ever since then, this is the only eyeshadow palette I use.

5. e.l.f Cosmetics Expert Liquid Eyeliner (in Jet Black)

I was never a fan of pencil eyeliner. The same goes for gel eyeliner. It used to be difficult doing winged eye with these two types of eyeliners (in my experience). I also didn't want to spend a fortune for liquid eyeliner from really expensive brands. I noticed that e.l.f Cosmetics sold really inexpensive makeup. When I saw that they sold liquid eyeliner for a dollar (now two dollars), I obviously bought it. Seven years of first trying it out, I still continue to buy it. It goes on very easily and it lasts for a long time.

6. Jeffree Star's Skin Frost (in Lavender Snow)

I only became obsessed with highlight just this summer. I also started becoming obsessed with Jeffree Star when I started watching his YouTube videos this summer. I decided to check out his cosmetics line out of curiosity and decided to try out one of his skin frosts (aka highlighter). First of all, it is huge (and for almost $30, that's pretty amazing). Second of all, it is extremely pigmented. With just one swipe across your face, you can definitely see the glow it gives you.

7. Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Mascara

I could never find a mascara that made my eyelashes look longer and fuller. And I never enjoyed using eyelash curlers. So when my friend recommended I try out this mascara from Maybelline, I figured it would be worth a shot. It honestly is one of the best mascaras I have ever bought. It doesn't clump easily and it makes my eyelashes longer. I am definitely going to buy this again when I run out.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
