One: For that time you felt so lonely because you felt like the weight of the world is all on your shoulders. For that time that you had too much going on, but you couldn’t share what’s inside of you with any one. For that time you went through all the previous situations, but you stood up one your own because you are very much capable and stronger than you think.

Two: For the time you met a random person that you would not have considered to ever talk to and you actually enjoy his or her company. For all the conversations between two close friends or two complete strangers. For the time you know that you don’t need thousands of friends, and only one good friend is all the company you need.

Three: For the time you and your other two sisters fought about who is taking the final piece of mom’s lasagna, but no matter how much you hate each other in these incidents, you will still support them both. For the time you lost something very precious, but you remembered that you had two other things that you are very blessed with.

Four: For the balance. The balance that keeps the four legs of the table standing. For the directions, the North, the South, the Ease, and the West, and all the choices and the possibilities you could take by taking any one of them or by taking by any cross-section of them.

Five: For the oddest of odd numbers because I just chose it to be. For the five fingers that you have. For the five petals in the rose that helped you in making a decision, and you eventually decide to take the risk, and it ended to be the best decision you have ever made.

Six: For the time you spent six hours trying to help your friend go through a tough day. For the six blessings you could surely count each day even though not all days remind you for the blessings. For the six friends in F.R.I.E.N.D.S that make you laugh no matter what kind of a day you are having.

Seven: For the time you wanted to travel the seven continents, and dreamt about gazing at all the stars in your seven months’ trip. For the seven wonders in the world that you can’t wait to explore with your seven closest friends. For the too crowded, too lonely events with seven people around you. For the perfect times where a seven hours’ road trip from San Diego to Los Angeles can produce the most precious memories.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
