Stop Settling For Less

Know your worth. Know the difference between what you're getting and what you deserve.

We've all been there. I know I have. Being with someone who truly, truly doesn't deserve you. And it doesn't matter how many times your friends tell you or your parents hint at it, you deny the fact that you deserve better. You may even start to believe that less is all you deserve. Well, you're wrong, as was I. If you're putting 110 percent into another person, you should be receiving just as much, if not more. The thought of "I don't deserve this kind of treatment" or "I wish I was with someone who did that" should never go through your head if you're with the right person.

Sometimes it helps to take your own advice when you give it out to others. How many times have most of us told our best friends, "you deserve the world, why are you settling for that?" but how come we never tell ourselves that? For some reason, it's impossible to admit to yourself when someone isn't good enough for you. A part of you probably wants to think they're going to change and treat you better. Odds are this won't happen. You deserve the very best and you know it. So stop settling for less.

You don't deserve to be cheated on. It doesn't matter who you are, what you do, what you look like, etc. Nobody deserves this. Never settle for someone who cheats on you.

You deserve the random romantic things formed from love. Random roses, dinner reservations, movie nights, or getting picked up spontaneously in the middle of the night to drive around and talk.

You don't deserve to be talked down to or to be shut down. You should be with someone who always wants to hear about your day, your opinions, and overall your life. You deserve someone who wants to listen to you day and night.

You deserve someone who is going to pick you. Who only wants you, nobody else. Don't settle for someone who isn't sure what they want. You deserve all the love in the world, find someone who will give it to you.

We know when we deserve better. Admit it to yourself, and go out there and find it. Stop settling for less than you're worth.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

(For Girls Who Are Interested In Greek Life)

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
