If you have not watched the trailer for this new upcoming animated picture you are missing out. Seth Rogen has done it again! "Sausage Party" (written by Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir, and Seth Rogen) looks absolutely hilarious. If you know Rogen you know to what kind of comedy to expect. This CG film will tell the story of a sausage named Frank who is determined to discover the meaning behind his true reason for existing.
Get ready for an adventure filled with infamous food puns, inappropriate visual characters, and two hours of completely laughing your ass off. Rogan released the trailer on social media last week and people’s reactions were super positive. Singer, Katy Perry tweeted after watching the trailer and said that she would “camp overnight in line like a kid at a supreme store to see this.” There are so many other people out there who are feeling the exact same way that Katy Perry is!
Some of Rogen’s previous films include "Knocked Up," "Superbad," "This Is The End," "The Interview," "Neighbors," and a plethora of other brilliant R-rated pictures. The movie tells the story of Frank the wiener voiced by Seth Rogen. Other actors and actresses involved in this energetic flick are Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek. All of these brilliant entertainers are a blend of diverse comedy styles that will surely make this film a huge success!
***There is not a spoiler in the review of the trailer below***
The trailer starts out with a harmless scene of people shopping in a grocery store. One woman picks out a bunch of items, which include hot dogs and hot dog buns. It starts to get a little curious because the products are illustrated in a vaguely obscene way. After the food is purchased and brought home, you realize this movie is going to be chock-full of explicit language, gags, and visuals. You will not be able to resist buying a ticket to see this over the top feverish satire. Who isn’t excited for this film to be released?
You would think because it’s an animated movie about supermarket products that it would be for children. However, unless you are a super liberal parent I highly recommend you do not take your child to see this movie if they are under the age of 10.
The movie comes out in theaters this August. Take your friends to see this filthy and offensive picture when it arrives in cinemas. You will not want to miss out!
