One of my favorite quotes is, "be who you were created to be, and you will set the world on fire". It is such a prominent topic in my life and when I am discouraged by the happenings of the world or any aspect of my life, I repeat these words.
We were individually and beautifully created for a purpose that far surpasses our wildest dreams. I think that we are fearful of fulfilling our purpose the majority of the time because we have constantly been told and told ourselves that we are not worthy of it, that we do not have it within us to do great things. We tell ourselves that big things are reserved for strong people, rich people, attractive people. We make excuses because we are afraid that if we were to step out of our comfort zones, something miraculous might happen.
Let me be the person who tells you to go for it. Ignore those voices inside of you that tell you that you are not worthy of your purpose or that you cannot change the world. It's lying. You ARE worthy. You ARE important, and no one can tell you otherwise because grace and purpose have been spoken over you since before time.
If you think for a moment, you might realize that everyone around you is a little bit scared of what life holds for them. One of the deepest fears of humanity is that of the unknown; we want to know every aspect of the future - what is coming, what is going to happen, etc. But, we don't and that is okay. We have to keep pushing forward and know that whatever happens in the future, it has been ordained by God.
So, friends, go for it. Pursue God's purpose for your life and set the world on fire. This world needs someone like you - someone who has gifts and talents that only you have. Use those gifts and talents to inspire, create, love, and change.
"You are you, and that is truer than true." (Dr. Seuss, my paraphrase)
