With finals coming up, we are all in a frenzy trying to prepare for the last few weeks of class. With the increase in stress, sicknesses setting in, and just al around frustration, it would be easy to let the services available on campus slip your mind. However, with everything that is happening on campus right now (and the fact that everything seems to be moving in fast motion), these services available on campus can be very helpful right now. Get your money's worth.
Counseling Center
It's getting colder outside and Daylight Savings Time means its getting dark before we're even out of class. Seasonal Affective Disorder is on the rise, as well as stress because of finals. Most schools have one and it can be very useful, especially towards the end of the semester.
Gym
It might just be me but I always complain about wanting to get in shape. I always forget that my campus offers so many opportunities for me to work out. There are recreational gyms, indoor tracks, pools, fitness classes, and a world full of fitness opportunities I haven't taken advantage of. It is also helpful to help destress as well.
Transportation
While the bus that campuses provide can sometimes be a little.... rough, they do help you get places quickly and you're paying to be transported. Why pay for parking when you're already paying for a bus?
Parking
On the other hand, if you're in a pinch and are absolutely going to be late to class if the bus doesn't show up in front of you at that very moment, the parking decks and parking passes can come in handy.
Student Health Services
With the change of the seasons and the lack of sleep, there are bound to be an abundance of illnesses going around. Take advantage of the health services if you can.
Tutorial Center
If you're anything like me, you're going to be stressed about at least one course when it comes to finals. This is an extremely helpful service to help ease your mind and help you master that course.
Athletics
If you want to destress or go hang out with friends, go support your school's athletics! It is a great way to be involved on campus.
