If you have ever worked in the food industry, you know the deal.

Whether you are a server, host, manager, or even a busboy; you know you will forever be dealing with rude costumers, long hours, strict management, and ridiculous requests.

Here are 37 things, courtesy of the cast of "Grey's Anatomy," that all of us in the miraculous industry that is food, can all relate too:

1. When a customer asks for a lemon in their water and you accidently forget and it is apparently the end of the world.

2. There's always that one manager that you will just never get along with.

3. When all you want to do is take their order but you have that customer that goes on and on telling you personal details about their life.

4. There's always that customer that will give you an attitude for no reason for the whole duration of their meal.

5. When it's dinner rush on a Saturday night and you're short-staffed.

6. When you have a full section and complicated orders and get by without one mistake.

7. When your table waits until you drop their food off to ask for extra ranch.

8. When you are on top of re-fills, give them extra napkins, get their food out on time, and they still have something to complain about.

9. Greeting your table: "Hi, how are you?" *no response back*.... okay well..

10. The customer that always tells you to "smile more."

11. When your double shift is over and you have given up on life.

12. When you see the regular that doesn't tip sit in your section.

13. This is what you imagine costumers are thinking when they ask to speak to a manager.

14. When food runners run your table's food to the wrong table...

15. When you're 10 hours in with no break, no food, and a full section of rude costumers.

16. That customer that has to question if you seem to be in a bad mood.

17. When all you do is complain while you're at work but you ask your manager to give you more shifts.

18. When you're starving but there's nothing dead in the window.

19. When it's busy and everyone is freaking out but at least you know you're all in it together.

20. The costume that makes you so mad that you start "angry crying" in the kitchen and the rest of the staff is making fun of you.

21. When you've made a dozen mistakes in one night and your manager is sick and tired of dealing with your s**t.

22. That customer that asks for everything on the side.

23. The customer that literally doesn't lay off until they see that they have pushed you to your breaking point.

24. When dinner rush is over and your co-workers ask you how you did.

25. The creepy bar guest that everyone has to pretend they like even though he hits on all of the girls that work there.

26. Trying to convince the host to seat you with the good tables.

27. When the host skips you in the rotation and she'll be fine because it's not her who depends on tip money, it's you.

28. When you're over having to pretend to be happy and peppy for 10 hours.

29. When your table has been super rude all night but all is forgiven when you open the check book and see they tipped over 20%.

30. The customers that can't just wait until you finish your intro to start ordering.

31. "Can i have a water with a straw?"

32. When you can't catch a break because the host keeps double seating you.

33. When your table says they are "never coming back here again."

35. When you say you're on a wait right now and you have those guests that start walking around the restaurant pointing out empty tables.

36. The table of females that don't stop talking even when you walk over to greet them.

37. When your table is rambling on about the problems with their food but you know it's just because they want their meal for free.

I could honestly go on forever, but I'll stop myself here. Although the food industry is rough and we might scream and shout about how much we hate our jobs, as servers, we always come back and do the same exact thing the next day.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
