Sermon Jams. If you know them, you love them. If you don't know them, well, you're missing out.
I first stumbled upon sermon jams a few years ago on YouTube and I was instantly intrigued. Maybe it's the sweet background music, maybe it's the appearance of the words on the screen, maybe it's the passion of the speaker, but whatever it is, it's captivating. Something about these short videos makes me want to crawl up in bed with a big blanket and a cup of hot tea and just rest in the arms of Jesus.
I've made a list of some of my favorites, and I pray that they encourage you as much as they have encouraged me.
"A Quiet Soul" by Judah Smith
This one is so sweet and heartwarming; it paints a beautiful picture of God as the Father.
"I Have Found The Father" by Judah Smith
"What is true of Jesus has been purchased for you." This one always reminds me that we can be IN the world but not OF the world.
"Jesus Is Our Advocate" by Judah Smith
I love this one because it's very convicting, but at the same time compels me to love every single person around me as an advocate, not as an accuser.
"Jesus Is Loving Barabbas" by Judah Smith
I can't find words for this one. It is the epitome of the Gospel- it tears you down and builds you right back up. It will make you feel the love of God like never before.
(Can you tell by now that I really enjoy Judah Smith?)
"Do It Again" by Steven Furtick
"Right here, right now, in the name of Jesus, I will live again!" This is another one that is very encouraging. Especially on those days where you feel like you just can't keep going.
"More Loved Than You Imagine" by John Piper
You are more sinful than you ever imagined, and you are more loved than you ever dreamed.
"Running" by John Piper
This sermon jam changed the way I look at sin and temptation in an incredible way. It's absolutely beautiful.
I hope these videos have made you feel as loved and encouraged as they have made me feel. I could sit here for days and keep adding to the list, but I'll let you take over from here!
