Summer is officially over, and I still can't grasp the thought that I am finally a high school senior. From special parking spots to fancy lunch gatherings to ultimate special day, I always envied how leisurely seniors always held their look; however, after just one week of coming back into reality, I realized that life is more hectic than ever. Here are the top 23 struggles of every high school senior.

1. Coming out of the school parking lot as if it were a warzone

Every. single. day.

...which then leaves you in debt before you even start college.

The utter lack of motivation is quite terrifying. Yet, you still have those college supplements you know you'll regret not starting early in the year.

7. Selling your entire soul to afford decent senior pictures

Giphy

8. Pondering endlessly over one question

9. Facing the last _______ dilemma

It's the last first last week of high school, the last time I'll eat spicy chicken in the library, the last time I'll be able to pull off the end of the year prank, and finally the last time I'll stress over yet another Calculus test. Relieving right?

10. Doing everything in your power to get that last GPA boost

Giphy

11. Wracking your brain over which prom dress you should wear or which date you should take

Giphy

12. Feeling the urge to rebel against your innocent self

Giphy

"Release the beast"

13. Daydreaming about the day you move out and finally live like an adult

Giphy

17. Planning the perfect senior trip after the year is over

Giphy

18. Coming up with every elaborate plan to deal with no having a car in college

Giphy

19. Going through your old Spotify playlists and reliving the past 4 years

Giphy

20. Knocking on every door to see if they're hiring

Giphy

21. Gathering together every nerve to ask your teacher for a recommendation

Giphy

22. Bracing yourself for all those rejection letters

Giphy

23. Preparing for your dreams to be crushed

Just know, you're not alone.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
