For those fellow Office lovers, I think we can all agree on a few things. For one, Dwight Schrute is one of the most obnoxious characters on the show but we truly love him. Two, Jim and Pam are serious friendship/relationship/marriage goals. And three, I would never, ever, ever want to work for Michael Scott.
There's one character in the show, however, that I feel like a lot of us can relate to the most. She's brutally honest, though a tad eccentric, but I can forever see myself connecting with her.
As I end my college career from Florida State, my last semester is starting to resemble a lot like the life of Kelly Kapoor's character in The Office. Mindy Kaling, who plays Kelly, is also a writer and producer for the show, so we can thank her for all of our unhealthy obsessions for it. I think I've seen the series at least three times through.
Sometimes we don't want it to admit it, but Kelly is a lot like us final semester seniors.
When formal is in a day, you don't have a dress, or even a date, because SYFI and you put everything 'til last minute. But you convince yourself that you are going to look hot regardless of all of that.
You realize you're about to graduate, so you should probably start to get your life and health together, hit the gym, and get rid of those boxes of mac and cheese. I feel you here Kelly.
It's your senior year, last semester, and you don't the time for a boyfriend. However you do have the time for lots of "dating!"
When you roll up in your fresh business attire with a fat stack of resumes at the Seminole Futures Career Fair.
When someone asks you your plans after college, and you have no idea, so this is the only response that you can come up with.
When someone has the audacity to ask you if you've finished that homework assignment. Like, no, I have not, I still have two more hours until it's due.
Like, a decision needs to be made. Do I get up and attend my 9 am? Or will I gave negative points in participation?
Thank you, Kelly Kapoor, to being the most relatable person on this show. Thank you for all of the advice that you have given us about life.
