Live it up like it's your last, because it is.

10 Things Every College Senior Needs To Do

As I begin my Senior Year of college, I'm filled with nervous feelings, excitement, nostalgia, and fear. I'm nervous to see what the future holds, excited to begin my adult life, nostalgic about looking back on my years at my University, and fearful of what my life has in store for me.

Nevertheless, there are some things I want to make sure I do in my last year as a college student.

1. Live it up.

Normally I save my most important point for last, but in this case I'll say it first because it's just that big of a deal. When looking back on my college years, I don't want to live with regrets. When my friends ask me to do something, I'll tell myself to go because I won't get these same opportunities this time next year. I won't be living within ten minutes of my closest friends, and we won't have hundreds of opportunities to go out on the town or out to eat anymore.

2. Cherish the moments I have with the people my school has allowed me to become so close with.

This point is a lot like the first. Like I stated, next year, I won't be within ten minutes of almost all my closest friends. I'm going to spend as much time with them while I can, and I'll cherish every bit of it.

3. Appreciate all my campus has to offer.

Once I'm gone for good, I know I'll miss the little things. This next year, I won't take the beautiful views or the kind staff for granted.

4. Take chances.

This is my last year to really get out of my comfort zone. Whether this means I need to attend campus programming or join another organization, I want to take all the chances I can to better myself before it's too late.

5. Leave a lasting impression.

I want to leave with a lasting impression and a good reputation. I want to be remembered by my younger colleagues and friends as someone they enjoyed being around and someone who shed joy around campus. This is my last year to do so, and I plan to make sure they remember me for the good things.

6. Make sure not to take the "easy" living for granted.

As my last year before I'm thrown out into the real world, I won't take the easy things for granted. I'll cherish naps between classes and even caf food because at least it's a hot meal I don't have to cook.

7. Don't stress over every little thing.

I overthink things entirely too much, and I don't want to spend my last year before I enter the real world stressed out 24/7.

8. Make connections.

During this last year of college, I'll be in internships in the professional world along with many other college students. These internships in our desired fields are so important when it comes to getting our feet in the door of our dream jobs. Personally, I want to connect with professionals and make great impressions on everyone I'll work with in order to make it a little easier on myself when it comes to applying for jobs.

9. Stay on top of my classes.

In this last year, I want to do my very best and keep my GPA up so that I can graduate and look great on resumes. I'll stay on track of everything, and get everything done in a timely manner (unlike my first three years).

10. Graduate.

That's the whole reason I came to college after all.

Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

In the 12 years since it went off the air, "Friends" continues to be adored by millions. 11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
