Senior Week As Told By GIFs
Sacred Heart University Student Events

It's finally here! After four long years of anxiously waiting, Senior Week has arrived! What is Senior Week? Senior Week is a week after finals when the entire campus shuts down and celebrates the Senior class by dedicating an entire week to them prior to graduation! During this week, many events and activities are planned for the Senior class that include dinners at restaurants, trips to the casino, two dances, and much more! Every senior knows that this is the one week that they have been waiting for ever since their freshman year because it is a special time for students of the senior class to spend time with one another for an entire week before separating after graduation. It is truly an experience of a lifetime and is something that the members of the Senior class will remember for the rest of their lives. Thus, here is Senior Week as told by GIFs!

Officially being allowed to drink on campus

One of the best parts about Senior Week is that the seniors are allowed to drink on campus! Of course there are some rules and regulations that need to be followed, but the Seniors are allowed to drink as long as they do responsibly!

Swimming in the fountain

We have all had the urge to swim in the fountain on campus throughout the past four years. Senior Week is finally the chance to do so!

Moving in to the Freshman dorms

Holy #TBT! Back into the Freshman Dorms we go! Moving back in to the dorms to where it all began is something that you just have to do during Senior Week!

Staying up all night

Who needs sleep? Staying up all hours of the night having fun with friends is a big part of Senior week! Seniors: Make sure to drink a lot of caffeine! You're going to need it!

Free Gifts!

Believe it or not, you actually get some free gifts during Senior Week! Keep your eyes and ears open for when these will be given out during the week!

Champagne, Champagne, Champagne, and more Champagne.

Guess what you'll be drinking the most throughout the week?

Day Trips

Since most of the events are planned for at night, all Seniors have the freedom to do whatever they want during the day! That means day trips! Take a ride to the beach, downtown, the movies, or anywhere else you want to go with friends before the night festivities!

The first night out

After moving in to the dorms, the first night event that kicks off the week is a night at Stonebridge, a restaurant and bar. A night out with your senior class filled with good food, music, and drinks is the perfect way to start the week!

The Casino

One of the trips included in Senior Week is to the Casino! Filled with restaurants, clubs, bars, slot machines and any other form of gambling games you can think of, the night at the Casino is one of the best nights of the week! Drink and gamble responsibly!

Commencement Ball

For those of you who do not know, Commencement Ball is the first dance during Senior Week to honor the graduating class. Theres food, live music, alcohol service, and the seniors attending can bring dates. It's a fun night on campus celebrating the senior class and graduation!

The Family Mass

The day prior to Graduation is the Family Mass that is held in the Chapel on campus. Family members of the graduates are invited to attend in which the mass is a university tradition to bless the seniors on the past four years and the future ahead.

The Family Dinner Dance

Following the Family Mass is the Family Dinner Dance, another dance on campus that honors the graduates and their families! This takes place the night before graduation, so it serves as a nice conclusion to the week before graduating as you and your family get to have fun and dance the night away with your friends and their family!

Graduation

The day we have worked so hard for concludes the week and officially our undergraduate careers. Thanks for the amazing memories Sacred Heart University and let's remember, "Once you're a Pioneer for a day, you're a Pioneer for a lifetime!"

This is simply just a preview of what Senior Week looks like, but it serves as a memorable experience that Seniors will remember for the rest of their lives. Why wouldn't you want to participate in Senior Week? If you don't, you just did college all wrong!

To the Class of 2016, have a great time throughout the week and be safe! I can't wait to experience this week with my fellow Pioneers! It's going to be EPIC!

NOW LET"S PARTY! WE EARNED IT!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
