The End Of The Semester, As Told By 'The Office'

I am running away from my responsibilities and it feels good

Here it comes; finals week. The endless hours in the library, the pages upon pages of essay papers, and the countless tears shed as you contemplate your entire existence. The end of the semester may be dawning on us, but of course, that still doesn't stop us from binge watching "The Office" on Netflix, and they understand the struggle just as much as the rest of us.

1. Trying to reach the page limit minimum.

If I can get the essay done in five-and-a-half pages, why do I need that extra half page to get full credit?

2. When the professor assigns a last minute assignment.

Oh, so on top of the exam that counts 20 percent of our grade, you want to assign another paper. I hate so much about the things you choose to be.

3. Asking yourself if college is worth it?

Maybe my minimum wage job isn't so bad after all. Who am I kidding, yes it is? College, you win this round.

4. How you act walking into the exam room.

"What's the minimum grade I can get to pass still the class?"

5. When your friend lets you copy their homework.

We all get a little overwhelmed with work, so maybe just this once copying some homework can help you out.

6. Trying to stay awake in class.

What is sleep?

7. Realizing just how much work you have to do but haven't started.

Due tomorrow = do tomorrow

8. Waiting for summer vacation.

The end is so close... yet so far.

9. Summer is near, but what about when your friends go back home?

No, I'm not crying. I only spent an entire semester with these people every day, and now they're leaving me for four months. Six hours away isn't that long, right?

10. Writing an essay but having no idea what you're writing about.

I'm supposed to be writing about King Henry VII, or King Henry IV, or, wait, what was I supposed to be writing about?

11. When the professor cancels an assignment.

Miracles do exist.

12. When your friends have time to go out but you're home doing projects, essays, and homework.

How do I have two essays due tomorrow but you don't even have a final in that class? Thanks, guys.

13. When you and your friend both pass the class.

Thank you, professor, because retaking this class was not an option.

You know that at the end of the day, you're going to make it out alive if you just study, work hard, party less and focus on the last couple weeks. Think of it this way; tuition isn't cheap, do you have the extra $10,000 to spend on an extra semester?

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
