When it comes to studying, it is a long and difficult process for many. We all want to get good grades but studying can be very challenging for many people. Whether it's your first semester or your last, these study tips will help you achieve good grades to make this your best semester yet.

1. Start studying the material early. This allows you to ask the professor questions beforehand on things that you don't understand.

2. Write or rewrite your notes in blue ink, you'll be more likely to remember information.

3. Listen to Hans Zimmer or other classical music pieces. Listening to music while you study is proven to help improve cognitive performance and listening to music will motivate you.

4. Always study sitting a table or desk instead of somewhere comfortable like a bed. Sitting at a table or desk keeps the mind and body alert, making it easier to study.

5. Spend less time on what you're comfortable with and more time on the information that you find difficult.

6. Instead of reading your notes over and over again while trying to memorize information, read your notes once and try to recall what you remember then do it over again.

7. Eat chocolate while studying, it helps the brain retain information.

8. Rewriting your notes is more effective than reading your notes out loud.

9. Write your information on flashcards. Flashcards are an effective mnemonic.

10. Set a specific time schedule for when you're going to study. This will help you get in a routine and avoid conflict.

11. Study in 30-50 minute intervals with 10 minute breaks in between. This is most effective way to retain information.

12. Try studying with a group. They might be able to explain something to you that you're not fully understanding. Two heads are better than one!

Wishing you all a prosperous semester, hopefully some of these tips will be of use to everyone next time you're studying!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo
