Life can get a little* stressful sometimes. It's important to take care of yourself during and before these times to work through them and prevent them if possible. Some people may believe that self-care is selfish, or even a waste of time, but you can't be productive or help others if you're not at your best. Here are some of my favorite ways to make sure I'm taking care of myself.

1. Face masks!

Face masks are incredibly relaxing, AND they help your skin look amazing! Make sure you go for cruelty-free and/or vegan brands like Lush.

2. Take a nap

Naps are so important. If you find yourself feeling stressed or slipping a little, you're probably a little tired. Sleep it off!

3. Read a book

If you're someone who enjoys reading, you may not have the time with all of the other things on your to do list that take priority. Give yourself the permission to hide away for a while and enter another world.

4. Listen to music

Music will either fix everything or make it worse. Choose your vibe wisely on this one.

5. Bath bombs

Bath bombs have the power to turn your ordinary bath to a sparkly, heaven-scented haven. I highly suggest you try it right now. (Use high quality bath bombs!)

6. Dye your hair

Giphy

Sometimes you need a little physical change to feel a mental one. Hair color works like a charm.

7. Journal

Sometimes it really helps to let out everything you're thinking, which can be a little hard if you don't feel like talking. Try journaling it out!

8. Pet a dog

Giphy

Both you and the pup will feel better with this one.

9. Eat a little dessert

You. Deserve. It. Treat yourself!

10. Check things off your to-do list

Giphy

Sometimes doing everything you have to do is the only thing that will relieve you completely.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.
