Self care can be defined as actions taken people break down a lot when they are overworked and tired. Self Care is a way to replenish all that energy and to replace all the cells in our bodies that have been burned out. Self Care is very important to women in particular because women have a lot of responsibilities. Women have to balance their careers and family lives. Women have to do even more than men. Sometimes and that is why women need to take self care more seriously.

Self care comes in various forms like going to the movies, going to an expensive restaurant, going to a spa, going to events, eating home cooked meals and so on. Self care should be a priority because individuals need to function as a part of a community. If individuals cannot function then they cannot contribute to society. Women in particular need to be treated like the queens that they are. I believe that women were created to support men and help them become who they want to be. Women are precious and are still the ones who don't treat themselves right because of stress. Women are very important to society, as they give birth to life. They produce life. If there were no women on earth then the world would not have any life. Women are the backbone of the society. I really want to encourage women to take care of themselves(body, soul and mind). I want women to focus on living what makes them happy, not what society dictates.

Everyone is busy and finding time to engage in self care is hard. I personally find it hard to participate in self care because of my busy schedule. There are a lot of consequences to not engaging in self care. I broke down after being so exhausted from school and life because I was doing too much in school. I was working, engaging in a lot of campus organizations, and doing internships.

I had no life on my own, as all I could do was to get too busy so that I don’t face my personal issues and trauma. Life ate me up till I broke down. I fell sick and I was always going to the hospital. I wanted success at all cost and neglected my own health because of that.

I am learning how to take care of my health first and leave other things as second. I am learning how to take care of myself first, as self care is the most important thing in life. I learned the hard way about self care. I have been to the emergency room three times because I had neglected self care.

Self care is not done just once in a month, It has to be planned daily because we must honor ourselves and our time on this earth. It is important to be at optimum emotionally, physically, and mentally. The best way to do this is to implement tiny self-care habits every day. It is important to include in your life a little bit of love and attention for your own body, mind, and soul.

Examples of self care include:

Compliment books.

Cleaning.

Taking walks.

Meditation.

Unplugging for an hour

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
