Among many people, I am one that knows all too well that life can suck. Even more so, I know that life with anxiety and depression can be even worse. I totally understand the lack of motivation and the inability to get out of bed and have a want to do anything. But even when it's kicking your behind, it's extremely important to still take care of yourself.
1. Get some sun
You probably won't look as flawless as Audrey, but the sun is great for you. Get some Vitamin D and get some color! It's very possible to do so especially if you live in the Sunshine State!
2. Take a nap
Sleep is a good way to avoid things especially when you're as lethargic as you are. Sleep is a wonderful way to get away from reality. Turn off your phone and rest up!
3. Bake something
Baking something whether or not it is successful is a great way to also make sure you're eating. Pinterest, Pinterest, Pinterest, friends!
4. Take a bath
Just make sure you don't fall asleep. That wouldn't be good. Who doesn't love a good bubble bath, though?
5. Listen to music
Or play...if that's what floats your boat...two drifters off to see the world.
6. Journal
I cannot stress how amazing it is to get everything off your chest in a fashion that won't lead to any unwanted consequences. Clear your mind, friend.
7. Smell the flowers
Or pose with the flowers. Either way. Stop to smell the flowers! Daisies, roses, tulips, whatever flower you love!
8. Go on a walk
Walks are great for clearing your mind. Get some exercise for yourself and your dog (or cat, if that's more you).
9. Cuddle with pet(s)
Even Holly Golightly realized that Cat needed love. You need love, they need love. It's a win-win situation. Cuddles for everyone.
10. Read a book
Again, we all can't be as flawless as Audrey when we're reading. But read read read! Read a children's book, read a poem, read some history.
11. Drink tea
Or coffee. Or hot chocolate. Whatever hot drink will warm your insides. I love drinking warm things on a cold day.
12. Exercise
Even if it's just that walk with your cat around the block, exercise is exercise.
I think it also goes without saying that you should try your best to eat and drink plenty of water regularly. Moreover, if you're taking medication, please always, always take that because recently I had the mindset of "I'm doing so well! I don't need my medication!"
But withdrawals are very real, so please take care of yourself always. I find it so extremely important to take care of myself because although my motivation may lack, I always end up thanking myself after taking care of myself.
