The Secret To A Good Time

The Secret To A Good Time

Often times, we get so caught up in trying too hard to have a good time with friends that we forget what really makes us happy. The secret to a good time is so much more than finding something fun to do, but it requires us to be ourselves.

The secret to a good time is truly being ourselves and not changing who we are because of who we are hanging out with. I know it's hard to hear, but be yourself and if your friends won't accept you for who you truly are then are they really your friends? You shouldn't have to worry about fitting in when you are with your friends. Letting your true self shine brings so much more joy than forcing yourself to be someone you're not.

A good time is based solely off of having fun and making memories, but putting yourself in situations that aren't who you are take away from the fun of the night because you were worrying so much about being who you believe everyone will like. You're going to have haters and people who don't vibe with you, but that shouldn't be a reason to change. I know it's scary to think that people might not like you, but let your true self shine and the right people will cross your path…I promise.

The famous quote "be yourself because everyone else is already taken" reigns true. This world is just getting darker and darker and the ability to let your light shine will make all the difference and hopefully help change the world for the better.

Next time you go out with friends, just remember to be yourself because that is all it takes to truly have a good time. No matter what you believe to be a good time, don't change yourself to fit in. Your friends will love you regardless of who you are or why would they have been your friends in the first place.

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
