The Secret Starbucks Menu for the College Student

For most college students, coffee is a daily essential needed to help get them through the day. Whether it’d be the famous pumpkin spice latte or a caramel Frappuccino, in the end it’s the coffee in your cup that matters. We all have our favorites.

Maybe, once in a while, you’ll try something new. I’m going to share a few (secret) drinks if you’re feeling a little daring or want to switch up your usual Starbucks drink in your crazy college life.

1. Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Latte

For those pumpkin spice lovers out there who just happen to love chocolate, this is the PERFECT drink for you. It’s not a super-secret option, but it’s still a pretty great option.

What to ask for:

Pumpkin spice latte with pumps of mocha or white chocolate, whichever chocolate you prefer

Tall: 3 pumps

Grande: 4 pumps

Venti: 5 pumps

2. Three C’s Latte

This is for the people who definitely have a sweet tooth and want something to kick start their day in the right direction. Cinnamon, caramel, and chocolate all mixed into one fabulous cup of coffee!

What to ask for:

Cinnamon dulce latte with pumps of caramel and chocolate. Extra: to add more caramel ask for caramel drizzle

For chocolate and caramel:

Tall: 3 pumps

Grande 4 pumps

Venti: 5 pumps

3. Ghetto Chai Tea

Chai tea. The tea that calms your nerves right before a huge midterm or relaxes you after a long, stressful day of studying. Almost the same as a chai tea, but it adds a little more flavor and mixes up your daily cup of chai.

What to ask for:

Chai misto, instead of the pumps of chai, this will ultimately make your drink taste better. Then, ask for half cinnamon and half vanilla super with extra foam.

Tall: 2 pumps each

Grande: 3 pumps each

Venti: 4 pumps each

4. Chocolate-Chip Brownie Delight Frappuccino

What could be better than a brownie flavored Frappuccino? Pretty much nothing. It does require you to buy a brownie, but it’s totally worth this tasty drink.

What to ask for:

Order a brownie and a java-chip Frappuccino. Ask to have the brownie blended into the Frappuccino. If you want even more chocolate or to make it look pretty for your Insta, do a mocha drizzle on top.

5. Upside-down Caramel Macchiato

For the caramel macchiato drinkers, try switching things up by getting a reverse version of this drink. It mixes up your usual order of the caramel macchiato!

What to ask for:

Your usual caramel macchiato, but ask that the steps down to make it are done in reverse.

Once in a while, it’s good to try something new. It adds to your busy college life all while getting some much-needed caffeine!

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

Find excitement in your life and start exploring wherever you are right here, right now.

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
