I complain of the heat in the summer,
The cold in the winter.
Sunburnt skin and parched lips,
Chapped lips and dry skin.
The addition of sweaters,
The shedding of layers.
Wool socks and winter boots,
Bare feet and strapped sandals.
Trips to the snow covered mountains,
Weekend beach getaways.
Boiling hot chocolate topped with whipped cream,
Cold margaritas served with salted rims.
Cold air sinks,
As hot air rises.
The seasons change,
And we change with them.
